I was awoken by a pair of soft lips, I smiled and opened my eyes. I saw Juliette straddling me, a wide smile on her face. "Morning," "Good morning, Nat." My memories flashed to Jessica, I felt myself become saddened at the fact of the dream giving me a sister. I smiled wider at Juliette and she kissed me again, I kissed her back and pulled away when she tried to slip her tongue. "I haven't brushed my teeth." She rolled her eyes and got off of me, I whined at that and she pulled me up. "Come on, we should get ready anyway," She pulled me into the bathroom and handed me an unused toothbrush and some toothpaste, we started brushing our teeth and I looked into the mirror and smiled at her. Once we were done we went to her room and she let me choose what I wanted to wear.

I decided on some of her jeans and one of her baggy shirts, I went to the bathroom fixed my hair, and got dressed. She told me where some unused deodorant and perfume I could use, I used everything, making sure I would replace it. Once I was done I walked out, seeing Juliette put her hair up. She turned toward me and I smiled at her, she put her hand out for me and I grabbed it. I made sure I had my phone and we went downstairs, I saw her parents sitting at the table and a plate of food untouched sitting on the table. "We made you some breakfast, Natalie." I blushed and Juliette got her some coffee while I went and sat down. "You didn't have to do that, Mrs. and Mr. Fairmont." "Oh please, call us Margot and Sebastian." Sebastian held his hand out for me and I shook it, both of us having a firm grip. "Margot told me about your family, um, business." I nodded as I ate, "Yes sir, I hope you do understand we won't do anything to your family unless given reason to. We are part of a guild that does not kill the "monsters" unless they are inhuman and too dangerous to keep on the Earth."

He looked at my arm, it was covered in tattoos. "Yes, I have killed before. Most of my kills came from zombies or ghouls, those are the only monsters we must kill on sight because they are far too gone. I wish there was another way, there are only a few monsters other than those we kill no matter what." He nodded, "Any from a vampire?" "No sir, I have not killed a vampire, day walker, or legacy, I do not intend to in this town." He nodded and looked at Margot, "You have our blessing to date our daughter." I choked on my bite, Juliette rushing over and tapping my back. "That's when you decided to tell her?" "Sorry, honey." I recovered myself and took a drink of the orange juice, "I'm ok, sorry about that." Her parents shook her head, "We should have waited till you at least swallowed to tell you." I finished and before I could take it and get up Juliette took it, going over and cleaning it. She just smiled and I rolled my eyes, "Thank you for breakfast, I appreciate it." I smiled and got up, Juliette came over and took my hand softly.

"See you after school, her parents are coming tonight, correct?" "Yes, your dad is getting out early and Eleanor should be staying out since you know how she is." "We understand if you want us to eat before coming, wouldn't want you to waste time cooking for just three humans." Her mom waved me off, "Let us cook, we don't get to anymore. Most we can do is drink, so let us cook for you and your family." I nodded with a smile, "My mom appreciates the invite, we'll see you tonight." Juliette and I walked out, going to my car and getting in. "I have to head to my house, I gotta get my backpack." She nodded and I started driving there, once we pulled out I got out and ran inside. "Hi, mom! Getting my bag and heading to school! Love you!" I quickly grabbed it and ran back out, got in the car, and started the drive to school.

Once we arrived we got out, Juliette stood by me and held my hand. "Is this ok?" I nodded and we walked into school, we headed to our lockers which weren't far from each other, and put away what we didn't need before heading to our classes. I saw Calliope stare at Juliette throughout the school day, I didn't know if Juliette noticed it. It was almost as if Calliope saw a ghost, the fact that Juliette was still walking around and not dust like a normal vampire would be. I knew her family didn't know about legacies, they were so rare that only a few people in the guild believed in them. There was nothing that could kill them, not anymore. Someone in the guild years ago destroyed the real silver spears, we think it was someone in love with one. But they remade them, I know they won't work, it was a special metal that no longer existed, the metal went extinct. The only way to kill a legacy was a legacy itself, with a legacy's venom it would kill a legacy.
