We pulled away, I jumped towards the window. I was ready to jump out if I had to, of course, I trusted Juliette, and I knew I could. But that didn't mean I would immediately trust her family, I looked at the door and Juliette stood in front of me. "Mom, knock please." Her mom looked at me and I gulped quietly, my hand gripping the ledge of the window tightly. "I didn't know you had company over, Juliette. I didn't see your friend behind you when you came home, coming through the window. I remember that trick, did it with your father all the time." "I didn't know how you would feel about me having a girl over," She waved her hand and came closer, holding her hand out for me to shake.

I shook it, still feeling nervous. "Natalie Stanely, ma'am. It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm sorry it had to be like this though." "Oh don't worry sweetheart, I'm Margot, any friend of Juliette's is welcome here. Even if you're more than a friend," She winked at us, "I just wanted to check on you, make sure you were ok from the party. Don't think I didn't smell your blood on you, so maybe you should explain to me." She sat on Juliette's bed and Juliette looked at me, I nodded, I didn't like secrets. But I didn't know if it would be a good enough time to tell her what I was, Juliette sighed and sat down next to her mom while I stood.

"While at the party, there was a girl there. Her name is Calliope Burns, we were dared to go into the closet, during seven minutes of heaven, I'm assuming you know what that is." Her mom nodded, "Well, she had tried to kiss me but I wasn't really interested in that so I backed away. Well while I was leaning against the counter, she had said she knew what I was. I didn't understand what she meant by that, but before I could ask she had staked me in the chest. I had blacked out from it, which I don't think is what she wanted to happen. She ran out, and luckily Natalie came to my rescue. She pulled out the stake, but that freaked me out and I bit her. I didn't drain her obviously, but I did taste her blood. That was when she found out what I was, and during our run to her car I found out what she was." Her mom looked at me confused, I was human, she could tell.

"My family, is a family of hunters." Juliette jumped in front of me, keeping her mom away when she zoomed up. "We don't hunt vampires! Unless they are killing a lot, too much killing we do something about that. I knew you guys were here before coming, you aren't why we are here. The Burns are, they are here on a large monster mission, more ghouls and nightwalkers have been seen in the area and they were sent to figure it out. You are not their mission, why Calliope staked your daughter, I do not know, but I will find it out. I promise I will not harm you or your daughter. My parents will say the same, we don't break promises. I think Juliette should have her first kill, I know how harmful it is for legacies." Her mom seemed shocked at that, she sat down and sighed.

"We don't tell your sister what she is, ok? I will tell your father myself, he will warm up to your friend, understand that. Natalie, invite your parents over for dinner tomorrow, ok?" I nodded, "Yes ma'am, my mother will be excited to meet a legacy, we hear a lot about them but to see one, it's a once-in-a-lifetime thing." "Maybe not your lifetime," She winked at me and I blushed, she kissed Juliette's head when she stood up. "You be safe, and maybe it's time to listen to your friend." Her mom walked out and I sat on the bed with Juliette again, she looked at me with a small smile. "I'm sorry about her barging on us," I shook my head with a smile, "It's no worry, really I promise. At least she didn't walk in us kissing, I think I would have dived out of the window if that happened." She laughed and I smiled wider at that, "If she came in a few seconds later she would have," I nodded, "Yeah, she did interrupt us."

"Well, we don't have to leave it at that. We could, you know, finish where we left off." I laughed and slowly leaned in, I felt her lips touch mine. They were soft and warm, I couldn't believe what I was feeling. Kissing her was like magic, but for some reason all I could think was Rosalie kissing me. I blocked that out and kept kissing Juliette, she pulled me closer. Her hands found my waist and gently pushed me down on the bed, I trailed my hand up her back and under her shirt. I flipped us and started kissing her neck, she tilted her head and moaned softly at the feeling of my lips. I gently bit the skin, causing her to grip my hips harder. We started grinding against each other and more teeth on skin came to play. I moved my lips to her chest, kissing and nibbling the skin showing. I felt her fingers grip my hair, moving my head to where she wanted me.

I laughed softly against her skin, bitting a little harder causing her to gasp loudly. I pulled away and smiled at her, the marks were there but they were fading quickly. She pulled me down into another kiss, I kissed back but we kept it sweet. I pulled away once I needed air, "Tomorrow, we're going out and we will find your first kill. We can kill someone who deserves it," "How will you know?" "I'll just know, I'll be your bait." She looked confused but just nodded, "But first, I need to call my mom. Can I stay here?" She nodded quickly, "Of course, you can, my mom won't care. I promise you," I smiled and grabbed my phone, I called my mom who picked up quickly. "Hey, was just thinking about you." "I'm staying with a friend tonight since it's dark and I just wanna be safe. Her mom invited you and dad for dinner. They are the Fairmonts." I waited for the name to click, and she gasped softly.

"The legacies?" "Yes, they know we're hunters. But if you meet their daughter keep it from her, so don't flaunt it. I'm staying with Juliette, she's the small brunette one." I felt a pinch on my butt and I jumped, glaring at a glaring Juliette. "I haven't met her sister yet, but I explained everything to her mom. I'll explain more to you when I come home tomorrow, after school." "Ok honey, well get some sleep, I'll see you after school." I hung up the phone and Juliette got up, heading to her dresser, "You can borrow my clothes if you want, for school and to sleep in." "Y-Yeah that would be great." She laughed softly and grabbed me some shorts and a shirt, I took it and went to the bathroom that she had pointed to. I wouldn't have cared about changing in front of her, I never felt shy changing in front of people, but she seemed shy. Once I was done I knocked before walking out, I saw her already changed and lying in bed. She turned off the big light and had her lamp on instead.

I walked over and climbed into bed, facing her. She smiled at me and moved my hair out my face, "You look cute in my clothes," I blushed and she kissed me softly, I kissed back and my hand found her waist. I pulled away and leaned my forehead against hers, "We should go to bed," She nodded before kissing me again, I laughed into the kiss but kissed back. I didn't mind her kissing me, even if we should have been sleeping. I could go to school with a few hours of sleep, especially if it meant she was kissing me. It didn't take long for her to get too tired to kiss and we were able to fall asleep, we were wrapped in each other's arms so I hoped no one came in while we were sleeping.
