Chapter Twelve: Fuck You Bitch

Another man was kissing his Bhumika. Someone else was enjoying the touch that rightfully belonged to him.

"Bhumi," he said, glancing at the screen. Her attention snapped to the mention of the nickname, and she realized she had been caught. She pushed the man away and quickly retrieved the phone she had accidentally picked up while kissing.

Bhumika looked at him, huffed, and said, "Don't act surprised, especially when you're not home half the time."

She continued, frustration evident in her voice, "You can't expect me just to wait around. I have a life too, you know." Bhumika's eyes flashed with a mix of annoyance and hurt as she confronted him about his absence. "If you want things to work, you need to be present, not just pop up when it suits you."

As he stayed silent, Bhumika's frustration grew, and her voice escalated into a shout. "I can't keep living like this! You disappear for months, and when you finally show up, it's like nothing happened. I have feelings too, you know!"

Vasisth and Sukhlal Ji, who had been looking at the moon with concern, turned around at the sound of her raised voice. Worry etched on their faces, they observed tears in Shubman's eyes but kept their distance, recognizing that it was a private matter.

Ignoring Shubman's silence, Bhumika's frustration poured out in a torrent of accusations. "I'm tired of being treated like I don't matter, Shubman! You can't just waltz in and out of my life whenever it suits you. I deserve more than your occasional appearances and empty promises. This is not how a relationship works!"

In response to Bhumika's torrent of accusations, Shubman remained calm but his tone carried an undercurrent of anger. "Bhumi, I understand your frustration, but that doesn't justify what you've done," he replied. "Instead of resorting to this, we could have talked it out. Communication is key in a relationship. I can't fix things if you don't let me in."

Bhumika's expression shifted from anger to a mix of surprise and defiance. "Talk? Shubman, you're hardly around to talk! I'm tired of waiting and wondering where and what you're doing. I needed more from you, and I couldn't just keep holding on."

Bhumika's expression hardened, and she retorted, "Whatever happened, happened, Shubman. I've reached a point where I can't keep waiting for you to decide when you want to be a part of this relationship. When you come back, whenever that is, you'll find the divorce papers on the table. I can't continue like this."

Shubman's eyes widened in shock, the weight of her words sinking in. "Bhumi, don't make such hasty decisions. We can work through this, but not if you shut me out completely," he pleaded, his tone a mixture of desperation and remorse.

Bhumika, however, remained resolute. "I've given this enough time, Gill. It's time for both of us to move on. The papers will be there when you come home."

Bhumika's resoluteness didn't waver as she continued, her voice steady but laced with disappointment. "And don't act surprised, Gill. I've heard things. Ana mentioned someone named Gia coming to our home when I was at the office party. I can't keep pretending like everything is fine when you bring other people into our lives while I'm left in the dark."

Gill's patience wore thin, and he snapped back, "Bhumika Kaul, don't bring my colleague into this. I just invited her for dinner. It was late, and I brought her before my mom, not alone in our room as you did with another man."

Gill's expression hardened, his frustration evident as he retorted, "And what about you, Bhumika Kaul? What's your excuse for bringing another man into our home, into our private space?"

The accusation hit Bhumi like a slap in the face, and her anger boiled over. "That's none of your business! You don't get to throw that in my face when you're the one who's been absent for months at a time," she shot back, her voice rising with every word. "We're done, Shubman Gill. I won't tolerate this anymore!"

Gill's expression turned stoic, his frustration simmering beneath the surface as he responded coldly, "Fine, Bhumika Kaul. Ensure Ana is at Mum's house, and then you can leave. I won't stop you."

Bhumi stared at him incredulously, hurt and disbelief etched into her features. "Is that all you have to say?" she asked, her voice wavering with a mix of sadness and anger.

Gill's expression remained unmoved as Bhumika stared at him in disbelief. His eyes shifted toward the timer. With only 20 seconds left before the call could be traced, he took a deep breath and met Bhumi's gaze.

"No," he replied tersely.

Bhumi, frustration and curiosity evident in her eyes, pressed further, "What? What is it that you wanted to say?"

"Fuck you bitch"
