Chapter Fifty-Three: Straight to Confrontation

Shubman and Geetanjali sat together, their minds racing as they tried to curate a plan. They both knew that if they involved the cops, they would be restricted in what they could do, tied down by rules and regulations. Their frustration grew as they realized that to truly protect Anamika and bring Harman down, they needed to act outside the law—on their terms.

Geetanjali absentmindedly rubbed her fingers on her belly, lost in thought as she considered all the possibilities. Shubman, his voice steady but concerned, broke the silence. "Did you send Anushman and Naina to the safe house?" he asked, needing to be sure their family was protected before they took any further steps.

"Yes, along with your mom and dad," Geetanjali sighed, her voice heavy with regret. "I just wish I could have moved us to a safe house too... then maybe Anamika would be here with us."

Shubman cupped her cheeks gently and said, "Don't blame yourself, love." Geetanjali nodded, tears welling up in her eyes as she sobbed softly.

Shubman wiped away her tears with his thumb, his voice steady but tender. "We're doing everything we can. Beating yourself up won't change what's happened, but it can make us weaker. We need to stay strong and focused."

Geetanjali took a deep breath, nodding as she tried to regain her composure. "You're right. We have to stay strong. For Anamika, for the baby... for us."

Geetanjali, her face streaked with tears and her eyes blazing with fury, looked up at Shubman. "Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I won't unleash the worst side of Geetanjali Vasisth on Harman. He took our baby girl, and he'll face every bit of my wrath."

Shubman chuckled darkly, his eyes narrowing with a dangerous glint. "And I'll show Bhumika just how ruthless I can be when it comes to the people I love. She needs to see my agent's side in action. I never thought I'd have to bring it out this way, but here we are."

"How do we start?" Geetanjali asked, her exhaustion evident from the strain of their planning.

Shubman's smirk grew as an idea sparked in his mind. "They can only run away to one place," he said, his eyes lighting up with determination. "We'll focus our efforts there. It's our best lead."

"Where could it be?" Geetanjali asked, her curiosity piqued. "And how do you know?"

Shubman leaned in, his expression intense. "Harman's hiding place is likely to be somewhere significant to him. Given his connections, it's probably a location tied to his past or one where he feels secure. I have some sources who've hinted at a specific location that fits this description. We need to investigate it thoroughly."

"Wait, you mean he's not far away?" Geetanjali asked, her eyes widening. "He's still in this city? He just wants to make it seem like he's hiding somewhere else?"

Shubman nodded, his expression serious. "Exactly. Harman is trying to mislead us. If he's making us think he's somewhere far away, he's probably staying right here, where he feels most secure."

Geetanjali's eyes narrowed with determination. "Then we need to focus on the city. We'll find where he's hiding. If he's trying to play games, we'll outsmart him."

Shubman raised an eyebrow, sensing Geetanjali's growing realization. "What if he's hiding at...?" she began, catching her breath as the thought took shape.
