Chapter Fifty-Three: Inferno of Vengeance

The case win turned out to be easier than Shubman and Geetanjali expected, but much harder for Harman and Bhumika.

To celebrate their court case win, Shubman, Anamika, Naina, and Anushman went out for ice cream, while Geetanjali stayed behind to handle some paperwork. From a distance, Bhumika, fuming with anger, cursed under her breath and walked toward the car, not wanting to see the woman who had ruined everything with her presence and testimony in court.

Harman Vasisth approached his daughter with clenched fists. She was no longer the scared, innocent girl she once was. Leaning in, he whispered in her ear, making her freeze in place, "You may have won the court case, but it won't take much for me to make Anamika disappear Geetu."

Geetanjali smirked, her eyes darting around to make sure no one was listening. "Harman," she said in a sinister voice, looking through the glass mirror, "touch my babies, and I won't hesitate to treat you the same way I treat my clients." Her eyes were dark with rage, and as she clenched her fist, her biceps tightened in her shirt, making Harman stumble back a few steps and gulp.

"You are playing with fire, Geetanjali," Harman voiced out, trying to maintain authority, but his voice was betrayed by his ragged breathing.

Geetanjali collected her papers and turned around, coming face to face with her ex-father. She cracked her knuckles and turned her neck, revealing a huge scar that made Harman sweat. "Well, Geetanjali Vasisth is fire," she declared.

Harman's face paled, his bravado faltering in the presence of the woman his cruelty had forged. Geetanjali watched as the man who had once terrorized her began to tremble, his confidence crumbling like sand under the weight of her piercing gaze. She took a deliberate step forward, her voice low and steady.

"You're done trying to control me, Harman. You'll never hurt Anamika, and you won't get the chance to hurt anyone else. I've fought too hard to protect my family, and if you push me, you'll regret it."

Harman took a deep breath, craning his neck as he tried to compose himself. He stood tall, towering at 6'3", using his height in an attempt to regain control of the situation. Geetanjali bit her lip as she watched him, recognizing the gesture-something he would always do before spitting venomous words, just as he had in the past.

But this time, it was different. Geetanjali wasn't the frightened girl she once was. She didn't flinch or back away. Instead, she stood her ground, her eyes locked on his, daring him to try the same old tricks.

"You think that still works?" she asked, her tone almost mocking. "I'm not the same person you once controlled, Harman. You can try to intimidate me, but all you're doing is embarrassing yourself."

Harman clenched his fists, anger flashing across his face. He wanted to lash out, but for the first time, he hesitated. Geetanjali could see the doubt creeping into his mind, the realization that he had lost his power over her.

Harman's eyes narrowed, his voice dropping to a menacing whisper as he tried one final attempt to assert his dominance. "You may think you're in control now, Geetanjali," he said, his tone cold and threatening, "but remember, no matter how strong you think you are, you'll always be beneath me. I will make sure of it."

Geetanjali narrowed her eyes, her voice steady despite the chill in the air. "What are you going to do, Harman? I'm not scared of you anymore."

Harman's eyes darkened, a glint of menace still evident. He chose not to escalate the confrontation further, but his parting words were intended to linger in her mind. "Just don't forget, Geetanjali," he said, his voice low and chilling, "monsters and demons never truly die in your mind."
