Hurricane Agatha had hit Outer banks hard. Lucky for the rich, they could hire people to clean the mess the storm had made.

The Cameron house, also known as Tannyhill, was trashed with branches, dead plants and furniture surrounding the large house.

The two Cameron Sisters, Sarah and Addie, were out trying to shoo birds away attempting to save mice, the girls sharing an interest in loving animals.

"Will you just leave the mice alone, god!" Addie shouted, trying to hit them with a tennis racket.

"Dad, the wifis not working. I cant post anything!" The youngest Cameron announced to her father.

"Wheezie, there was a hurricane, sweetheart." Ward replied plainly.

Their dad grew up poor, surprisingly. He lived on the cut and as he grew up he worked hard to provide his kids with the life he never had.

"No. No, no, no!" Sarah screamed running around.

"What are your sisters doing?" Ward asked, unable to pinpoint the issue.

Wheezie answered without a care, "Saving mice?"

"Sarah, Adeline!"
"We're busy!"
"What are you doing?"

"The burrows filled with water from the surge. The birds are having a field day." Sarah replied still chasing after the birds with her younger sister.

"The birds, have to eat too, Sarah," Ward replied approaching the two.

"Dad we can't let the birds get the mice!" Adeline said following her sisters footsteps.

"No, it's a mouse genocide out here. No!"
"The cycle of life is what it is, sweetheart. Now, come on."

"I cant be a part of it. First they came for the mice, Daddy." Sarah said with Adeline tapping her shoulder gently to alert her that there was someone standing with their dad.

"Well I have an actual human being that you might be able to help." He said firmly.

"Oh my god, hi." Sarah spoke gently to the lady approaching her with Adeline shaking her hand. "I'm Sarah. I'm so sorry, and this is my sister, Adeline." Adeline gave a small soft smile to the lady.

"This is Lana Grubbs, she's scooters wife. Now you two were storm prepping with him, right?" The man asked, his serious demeanour appearing.

"Yeah, he helped us latch the cabin on the Druthers." Sarah replied.

"Last night?"
"Yeah."
"And did he go out after that?"
"From here?
"Yeah."

"No. Are you crazy? There was a hurricane." Addie quickly cut off the two.

"Well did he say where we was going?" Lana Grubbs asked quickly, seeming worried and confused. "Get a phone call, or mention anything?"

"He didn't say anything to me, or Addie." Sarah responded, "I'm so sorry, is he okay?"

"He's absolutely okay." Ward replied reassuring the two young girls as quickly as possible. "He's hunkered down somewhere, alright. We're gonna find him."
