Ryoko's POV

As we continued cleaning up the infirmary, Zabu and Kamao hesitantly joined in, their movements awkward at first but gradually gaining comfort as we worked together.

"It's okay, boys, take your time," I reassured them with a smile as they fumbled with the cleaning supplies. "What's the use of doing this anyway?" Zabu retorted and Matakara chuckled.

"Now, now, don't be so grumpy I'll treat you all to some ice cream after we're done? Consider it a thank you for your help."

"Really?!! Yes!!" Their faces lit up at the prospect of a sweet treat, and they immediately became more energized, working with renewed vigor to tidy up the room.

After a few minutes, the bell rang, signaling the end of the lunch break.

"Let's get back, I don't wanna miss class." I said and we decided to head to our respective classes, but not before I brought Matakara, Zabu and Kamao the promised ice cream.

On the way to class, I couldn't help but ask about the other students in the school. "Who are all the students we know in this school...?" I inquired, curious about the familiar faces I might encounter.

Matakara glanced at me, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "Oh, Marito is there," he replied casually.

"Marito..." I couldn't help but deadpan at the mention of my tumultuous encounter with him earlier that morning. "Yeah... I met him this morning. It didn't go well," I replied dryly.

Matakara chuckled softly, knowing the tension between us. He knew about the complicated history between Marito and me, but Arajin didn't need to know, so I kept the details to myself.

"And Outa is there too," Matakara continued, and I looked at him expectantly, curious about the whereabouts of another familiar face from my past.

"Where...?" I prompted, eager for more information. "It might be a dangerous place, you shouldn't go there," Kamao interjected cautiously.

"Well, knowing you, I'm sure you'll be fine," Matakara reassured, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Outa will be by the big storeroom behind the school."

With a nod of gratitude, I bid farewell to Matakara and his friends as we reached our respective classrooms, my mind already racing with plans to meet Outa after class.

Time Skip~~~

The day had ended on a good note, with the teachers proving to be more tolerable than the unruly students.

I picked up my bag and made my way towards the back of the school, a familiar voice cut through the air, causing my heart to thump in my chest.

"So you lost to Matakara?!" Marito's voice rang out, and I couldn't help but tense up at the sound of it.

"Come on! You've already ended things with him!! Get it together!" I scolded myself inwardly, pushing myself to keep my cool.

"Yeah, but that dude seems like a good guy," a stranger's voice replied, and I continued walking towards the storeroom, trying to ignore the knot of tension forming in my stomach.

"Haha, is it like a school crush?!" Marito chuckled amused. "Haha, must be-!" I swung the door open and suddenly a figure crashed into it from Marito's forceful kick.

"Maybe I should enlist him too...." Marito mused, his gaze shifting to the boy who had been knocked back by the impact.

"Sir!! Why?!! I said I'll be your replacement after you graduate!!" A blue-haired boy raged frustrated,

"Why not? He seen as strong..." Marito replied nonchalantly, his attention drifting towards me. His expression immediately soured, and I felt a pang of hurt at the sight.
