Its been two weeks and Makenna started catching rides with her friends more she realized she can't lie forever and just decided to ignore Matt in the car and talk to her other friends even tho it was hard because they would make eye contact quite a lot and most of the conversations in the car had to do with him or making plans

Matt should be happy because he was gonna ask Gracie out cause they've been getting closer and he's been real happy about that till last week when Makenna finally decided to join their car rides even when she would ignore him he'd still hear her laugh that made him have a familiar feeling in his stomach and when their eyes met he never wanted to look away

but he can't be having those feelings he was meant to forget them and get those feelings for Gracie she's an amazing girl and incredibly funny but when he's with her his mind wanders to a certain brunette girl

"Are you coming to our lacrosse game this Friday" Chris asked looking down at his phone while Matt's tryna take off his aux

"when have we ever missed one your lacrosse games Chris" Amelia said rolling down the window

"That one time in 5th grade when Landon didn't show and neither did Makenna" he states slapping Matt hand away from his phone "give me the fucking aux" Matt exclaimed Chris didn't budge still continuing the conversation

"For one I broke my leg and had to go to the hospital because of him" Makena said rolling her eyes Matt sighed at the name use

"oh my god I gave you like all my stuff after that happened and can you just say my name" Matt exclaimed doing a sharp turn making everybody go side ways "Matt what the fuck!" Nick said after repositioning himself

"never wanted to say it before and now I'm not" the girl replied being stubborn they started bickering again for the 30th time this week and everybody in the car was tired of it

Nick and Chris been on their phone and hasn't said a word to her but hey "who are you guys texting" I asked hoping they would reply and not ignore me

"no I was just um texting this girl who left something in the janitors closet" Chris said making eye contact with Nick before looking at me

"A girl? What girl?" I said confused last time Chris talked to a girl he ghosted her by accident

"Oh she's in my English class we started talking for a bit and we took it to the janitors closet but she lost an earring" Chris said Nick spoke up

"well you better go find the earring before you can say that girl goodbye" Nick said this sounded so scripted but they're probably just nervous for the game this weekend
