"So did you decide to talk to Matt or still ignore him" Amelia said walking up to makennas locker she shuts her locker "I wanna talk to him but I'm scared I literally told him to never talk to me again and then ghosted him then randomly asked him to drive me back home and went back to ghosting him" she exclaimed starting to walk

Amelia knew about Matt's feelings since Landon told Ian and Ian told her so she knew if makenna were to even just talk to him he'd fall back completely but she couldn't tell her that

"Just try talking to him about it he knew you would be mad and still tried!" she made a point and the girl knew it and she had to see him at the skating rink since she's inviting chris and nick and they need a ride he obviously would have to go

"ok fine ill try talking to him" she gave up and walked to her next period she seen matt and decided to try it "matt!" she called he looked up taking his airpod out his ear and seen me his face softened but went right back to its cold state

she was about to walk to the boy until the bell rang and a whole bunch of people shoved through and she lost him in the crowd

thank god she had last period with him and she caught him walking to last period she quickly rushed to him and he saw her and was about to walk away "omg matt can you just listen to me" she exclaimed

he scoffed feeling the sense of deja vu she face palms also knowing the irony in what she said

"i'm really really sorry that i didn't listen to you and i know how fucking stupid that was and i really wanna make it work with you and i don't wanna let this get in between us!" she said he looks at her

he looks down "what made you forgive me" she almost fell cause of the tone in his voice he sounded so relieved yet so tired

"gracie came to my house and told me everything and i should've came to you as soon as she did but i was scared matt" makenna walked closer to him and he just watches her

he sees how guilty she feels and realized all of this wasn't either of their faults at all he would probably do the same thing as her and she would do the same thing as him

he suddenly engulfs her in a hug, her head in the crook his neck and his arms around her waist "i'm sorry that gracie did some stupid shit like that" he mumbled the girl forms a small smile on her face

"you shouldn't be apologizing it was never your fault" she said they let got of each other and he quickly places a kiss on her lips she quickly pulls him back in and gives him a longer kiss they were both smiling through it happy to be back with each other

until the janitor came and said they were skipping and gave them detention on saturday

"that funk ass janitor is always at our throats omg" makenna complained she swears the janitor had some thing against her since junior year

"maybe he's mad he can't get some cause he's to old" ian said landon laughed "old people can still get some they just need some help"

chris shakes his head "no i don't think they can actually cause like aren't their muscles all sore and broken?" they continued the conversation

and matt couldn't feel happier he's got his girl back and he's surrounded by his friends and brothers and this weekend it's time to make his girl his actual girl which is in 2 days

Matt decides to tune back into the conversation and hear that they switched the topic "so what if i have a pepsi addiction?" landon's rolls his eyes

"Chris i wanna hear those words come out your mouth in atleast 5 years" nick said pointing at him Chris scoffs "trust me you will it isn't my fault Pepsi is the best soda out there"
