"Just our luck huh?" I chuckled.

Colby popped his head out of the bathroom in the hotel room to look at me, "what do you mean?"

"I mean we come out here, go to my parents, shit hits the fan, plan to go to your parents, then find out they took a vacation to Hawaii."

I heard Colby's deep laugh as i stood up walking to join him in the bathroom. He stood in front of the mirror trimming his beard carefully. God, he looked good.

"They deserve it. We never took my vacations when I was young. Plus, when we move we can visit them anytime you want."

Smiling I leant agaisnt the door frame admiring him, "Yeah, sounds good."

"Maybe you can try to repair your and your parents relationship?" He wiggled his eyebrows at me throught the mirror.

"I don't want to talk about it.." I spoke looking to the ground.

"Novalee, I understand how you feel and I know your dad's a grade A asshole but they are your parents. I think you should at least show some effort in trying." Colby turned facing me.

"Colby, I just don't feel comfortable going to their house and getting verbally attacked for no reason.."

He gave me a half smile while pulling me in for a hug. I wrapped my arms around his torso while we just stood there embracing each other.

I knew he was right, they're my parents and I should have a relationship with them but I can't be the only one trying to make it work. It's a two way street, I am their child afterall.

"How about you think it over, and I finish shaving this beard off?"

"Excuse me sir," I looked up at him, "You're not allowed to shave your beard off.. nope!"

"Promise me you'll at least try to make things right with your parents and I'll keep it exactly how you want it." He smirked down at me.

I glared, "Are you trying to persuade me through your facial hair, Colby Lopez?"

"Depends.. is it working?"

Trying not to smile I nodded my head slightly. Without another word Colb shut off the clippers and carried me back to the bed.

He laid me down gently on my side before kissing my nose, making me chuckling. I pulled the blankets up over myself while Colby climbed in bed beside me. When he pulled me into him I sighed happily, because it felt like home.

"Babe, what are you thinking right now?" I yawned curiously.

Colby sighed audibly, "Honestly?"

"Mmhm."

"I'm thinking about what it'll take to get you out of them clothes."

I laughed shaking my head, "of course you are."

"So," Colb's lips found my shoulder, "are you going to tell me or do I have to find out the hard way?"

Pondering I turned around in his arms and pressed my lips to his forcefully, "Show me what you got big boy!"

"Colb, how much do you love me?" I smiled wide from the passenger seat.

"Not enough to stop for Chipotle!"

I huffed audibly, "Rude."

Colby chuckled as he grabbed my hand, placing a soft kiss on it. I knew he was joking, he couldn't pass up Chipotle.

"After we get everything done, we'll stop. Only because I want it, not because you're spoiled." He smirked at me through his Ray Bans.

"I'm so spoiled, and you did it to me."

"What can I say, you're hard to say no to."

Smiling I looked out the window, we weren't far from our soon to be home. Maybe a mile or so, but it felt like it was taking us forever to get there.
Colby made sure to take forever this morning just to see me squirm. But, he did look pretty dapper in his black dress shirt and dress pants. He definitely meant business today.

"Can you believe it?" I awed as we pulled in the driveway.

"In about an hour this bad boy will be all ours. Can you imagine little Lopez babies running around here?"

I couldnt help the forming smile on my lips, "You want kids someday?"

Colb put the car in park and turned to me slightly, "Only with you, sweetcheeks."

Leaning forward I placed my lips on his momentarily before we both climbed out of the car. A short fat man met us half way to the front door with a huge smile on his face.

"You must be Colby and Novalee!" He reached out to shake Colby's hand then mine.

"Just Nova." I smiled.

"Well Just Nova, I'm Donny. The real estate agent. Let me tell you this house is beautiful, I've never seen something like this before. You two will absolutely love it!"

We followed Donny inside as Colby talked, "Actually Donny, we know. We grew up around these parts and Nov here fell in love with the house when we were young."

Donny smiled so wide his eyes crinkled, "Aw, I see. High school sweethearts?"

I chuckled, "Not exactly. It's a long story but we were meant for each other."

Colby wrapped an arm around me pulling me close so he could place a kiss on the top of my head.

"Well then I don't have to tell you how amazing the place is, you already know. But the price is-"

"Put it on the card." Colby placed the card out to Donny.

"Oh, that's a first. You don't want to know the price?"

Colb shook his head smiling, "Just put her down and we'll be good from there."

"Well Mr. Lopez, I'm sure you too will enjoy the house, just let me get a hold of my manager and get the card through."

"Thanks Don!" Colby shook his hand once more as he walked out the door.

After he was gone I found myself wrapped in Colb's arms once again. His lips pressed gently against my forehead as he whispered, "Welcome home Novalee."

an: Finally, I decided to kick writers block in the ass and get this chapter done!!

It was a short chapter but they got the house and we got some cute little Sova/Cova moments!!
