"as long as I'm with you" ~ Eddie Munson

chapter 3 "late night talking "

You blink softly, the sun touching your nose as you slowly open your eyes. You sit up in bed and let out a big yawn. Then you get up and walk over to your closet, grabbing a black skirt and the new iron maiden shirt you bought yesterday. You head for the kitchen and make yourself some scrambled eggs with bacon for breakfast.  After that you bush your teeth and start cleaning the trailer a little bit while listening to your new black sabbath cassette. When your finally done it's already 12:30 am so you make yourself some Mac and cheese for lunch. Honestly you made way too much for you alone to ever finish but as you look out the window you see eddies van pulling up. As he gets out of his van you get an idea. Yesterday he told you that he lives with his uncle and they usually always just order food. Quickly you pack up some of the mac and cheese into a lunchbox  and head over to their trailer.
You knock softly on the door and a few seconds later it opens and you find yourself looking into these breathtaking brown eyes again. "Hi how can I help you beautiful?" Eddie asks, smiling down at you confidently giving you butterfly's in tour stomach. "H...Hi....uhm... I made myself some mac and cheese for lunch but made way too much and....uhm.... I was thinking you and your uncle might want some."
Nervously you look to the ground, holding the lunchbox in one hand and scratching the back of your head with the other. As you look back up he has a soft and kind smile on his face. "Actually,  we'd love that. Finally something else than ordered food for once he smiles as he takes the lunchbox from your hands. "Well great then we'll see each other around I guess....bye." you just wanna turn around as you feel a hand grabbing your arm softly, letting go immediately as you stop. "Wait" Eddie says, confused you turn to look at him. "I also wanted to ask if maybe uhm....you wanted to hang out later? I know this place where you have an amazing view over Hawkins and I'm sure you'd love it" he says looking at you hopefully.  A big smile makes it's way all over your face. "Yeah absolutely that would be awesome " you answer him exited. "Well then we'll see each other later, pick u up at 18?" He asks. "Sure, see you at 18" you smile to him one last time before heading back to your trailer.  You eat your lunch and spend the rest of the evening watching the movies you borrowed out yesterday.

At 5:30 pm Y/n started getting ready, packing some snacks and putting on a light makeup. Once she was ready she took another look in the mirror as it knocked on the door. She opened it and Eddie looked at her with a wide smile. "Ready to be kidnapped beautiful?" He said jokingly,  bowing infront of you and making a hand gesture to his van. You can't help but laugh slightly and you two start walking towards his van. He holds the door open for you again and you two start driving off.

He drives you up a hill until you arrive at a beautiful place. The forrest behind you, you have an amazing view over Hawkins. He gets a blanked, snacks and beer out of the back of his van. You two start talking about literally everything that you could talk about. Noticing that you have even more incommon than you actually thought. As you mention your little "lack of weed problem" a smile starts to form on his face. Without saying a word he heads to the back of his van searching for something till he comes back with a metal box. He opened it and your eyes widened. "All you need I got right her beautiful " he says with a grin on his face. Having you still speechless Eddie starts rolling a joint for you two which you procede to smoke as the sun goes down and you guys continue your deep talking.

During the night you end up telling him about you family and your past, your dad's drinking addiction and your mom. For the first time you feel comfortable,  comfortable to tell someone what you've been through.  And he doesn't judge you, or try's to play it down,  he just listens, for the first time in your life someone actually listens to you. And as you were done talking he just closed you in on a hug, a long, deep hug. It was the kind of hug that feels like coming home, like it's healing you from deep inside. You look up at him to see a sad look on his face and as you ask him what's wrong he starts to tell you about his past, how his dad is in jail and how his uncle stepped up to take care of him.  How he always felt like nobody really cares about him until he meet you and how important you are to him as a friend.

You spend the whole night laying on the blanket,  looking up into the stars and talking.  Talking about wether there is something else out there, other worlds, other life, fantasizing about other planets and what they might look like. You laugh so much that night, more than you ever did and for the first time in a long time, it's a honest laugh,  not forced and faked but honest and it feels so good. When the sun starts rising you guys pack your things up and head back home.
After the goodbye at the door you fall into your bed exhausted.
