"as long as I'm with you" ~ Eddie Munson

chapter 15 "I love you, Eddie Munson"

The sun is brightening the room, hurting your eyes as you open them. You find yourself saying in a hospital bed. Your head feels like it's exploring as you swing your legs over the edge of the bed and sit up. Your still wearing your clothes that smell earthy and dirty, you can see and smell the bloodon them. The sound of crying people and about 100 difrent voices talking at the same time. Through the noises of the hospital the pictures of what happened come back, there was an earthquake... the gates had opened...Eddie..the bats... You jump up from your bed and head for the door. You stumble onto the hallway that is filled with wounded people that are waiting for medical help, the nurses and doctors rushing around trying to manage the situation.  You feel dizzy but steady enough to walk. You stumble towards one of the nurses. "E-excuse me.." she's turning towards you "I'm looking for Eddie...Eddie Munson...do you know where he is?" You ask, with tears in your eyes, fearing the worst. Her look turns cold and without saying a word she points at a door and walks away. Infront of the door there are two officers standing.  They are talking to someone and as you get closer you see Dustin. You hear what they are talking about and you can hear that he's following exactly your plan, telling them Jason did it, that he and attacked them at the old house and that Eddie tried to protect Max, that this was where he got his injuries from and that Jason had died in the earthquake.  Suddenly Dustin sees you and runs over to hug you "Oh my god y/n thank god your okay." "How is Eddie is he alright?" You ask him, scared of the answer. "He didn't wake up yet but the doctors said he will be fine" Dustin replied.  The officers wanted to talk to you and after explaining to them basically everything Dustin had already said they let you see Eddie. Lucas had apparently already spoken to them, telling the same Version of the story Dustin and him had agreed on. When you stepped into the room you saw Eddie laying in the bed, attached to multiple machines monitoring is heartbeat and breathing.
You sit down on the chair next to his bed and carefully take his hand.  You slowly brush one of his dark curls out of his face and kiss him on the forehead, a single tear rolls down your face. "It's going to be okay Eddie....your going to be okay.......I'm here..I'm right here with you.....I'll make sure everyone knows tour innocence...that your a hero.....your going to wake up...and you'll get healthy and when your healty again we're making our trip to the east coast like we planned it and..." you start sobbing and your voice is shaking to much yo keep talking.  Suddenly you feel a heavy hand on your shoulder.  Wayne knees next to you and pulls you into a hug, trying to comfort you while trying not to cry himself. "The doctors told me you brought him to the hospital...that you carried him to the door even though you could barely stand yourself...they said that he wouldn't be alive without you that he would be dead...you saved him...you saved my nephew..thank you so much." You could tell that he was bow crying too.

After a while you left the room, your dad was outside now too, waiting for you. "Oh God y/n I was worried sick I thought something had happened to you with the murders and everything. Are you okay?" Your dad said. You nodded and huged him tightly,  leaving tears on his jacked.  You went with your dad and Dustin, since the trailerpark had been destroyed by the "earthquake" just like pretty much almost everything in Hawkins you were staying with Dustin and his Mom for the time. Wayne lived in the hotel the government had put him in at the beginning of all this.

You were helping the Wheelers pack donations for the people who had lost their homes and everything during the "earthquake" and a pretty messed up looking pizza service van pulled up. The door opened and you immediately recognised Mike, the girl with him must be Elfi, the one everyone was talking about and by the way Nancy jumped around his neck you didn't need long to figure out who Jonathan was. Dustin was running to a boy his age calling him Will, they had told you about him as well, he was the one who disappeared.  The only one you didn't recognise was this guy with the long black hair who, to be honest,  looked suspiciously high, he was later introduced to you as Argyle,  Jonathan's best friend.

While the others were trying to repair Elfie's old home you were at the hospital with Eddie, playing some of his favorite musik on a little radio you had borrowed from Garrett together with some cassettes. You couldn't play it loud though otherwise the nurses would yell at you again and to be honest they were pretty scarry due to all the stress they had. Your holding his hand, looking out of the window when suddenly,  you feel his grip tightening around your hand. You turn to him and he's looking up at you with these beautiful brown eyes, a soft smile forming on his lips.
