Haruki rolls his eyes as he spots the cowering Fukurō under the blankets of the futon.

"Come on. It's just thunder, so stop being a wuss." He comments, kneeling over his youngest sister's weakened figure. He holds the bowl of miso soup in front of her. ".. B-But it's scary, and loud, and-" Fukurō mutters, slightly trembling.

Haruki groans, facepalming as he gets up to pull the blankets off of his sister. "Go feed Isamu-chan. Focus on what's happening here, not there, outside." He demands as he places another bowl in Fukurō's hands. "Im sure that it will be a beautiful day tomorrow, and then you could go play outside with Sekiei-san." He smiles slightly. Fukurō nods, trying to drown out the sound of the thunder with her thoughts.

'Here, inside. Not outside.'

'Here, with Chichi*, Onichan and Isamu-chan.'

'Here, where it's quiet, and everything will be alright.'

Sanemi observes closely as Fukurō strokes the Kasugai crow's head. It was odd. It seemed that his tsuguko had a better friendship with Sanemi's pets than Sanemi himself.

Sorai leans its head against Fukurō's hand, the feathers on its tail flapping up and down in contentment. Fukurō had grown attached to Sorai and Sanemi's rhinoceros beetle, which Sanemi had noticed. He felt almost guilty for having the mansion so empty all the time, unlike Shinobu's mansion. Almost.

The tapping of rain against the window sounded calming in his ears, easing his mind a bit. A thought struck his mind. Maybe he could ask Kyojuro to have their tsuguko train together?

Ugh— But he really didn't want to. Especially because of that annoying Kanroji girl. Maybe he could try to just have no interaction with her at all. Yeah, that would probably be best. It would save him a few migraines, and he could think more of how he could train and guide Fukurō.

He steps towards Fukurō, looking down at her. "I need Sorai. Hand him over." He says as Sorai huffs in slight irritation, annoyed that his head strokes were interrupted. "Go back to training. The storm only lasted a few moments, so it should be clearer outside by now."

Fukurō nods, and heads her way back outside. Did Sanemi always have such a revealing top? There much be something up in his head. Would she have to wear something like that? '... Irk.'  Fukurō shivers at the thought, a wave of uneasiness washing over her. Sanemi watches her walk away, before turning his head to Sorai. "Tell Rengoku Kyojuro that I would like his tsuguko, Kanroji Mitsuri, to train with Kazekachi-san." He requests as he lets his crow fly away.

Fukurō's ears perk up, standing halfway out the door. 'Training with someone else? This early in training?' The thought makes her fill with joy. She wouldn't feel that lonely anymore.

She tells herself an oath to try her best and attempt to impress both Sanemi, as well as this supposed 'Kanroji Mitsuri' with the skills she wants to possess.

Kyojuro listens closely to the crow in front of him.

"I see! I will make sure to pass the message onto her!" Kyojuro says enthusiastically, his owl-like eyes unblinking as he spoke. He was glad that Sanemi had taken his advice to heart. It was also pleasant to hear that Sanemi was so open to have another Hashira near where he would dwell.

But he was especially proud that Sanemi, the rude and arrogant Wind Hashira, had a soft side of him for someone who seemed to be such an important influence in his life.
