More and more booms and bangs break Rizumu's concentration, his plucks of his koto growing more rough. Finally, he snapped when another noisy bam rang out from the sky. "Enough!" Rizumu roared, throwing the Shō on the ground furiously. "They're so childish! Those morons ruin everything!"

The demon's rampage ran a shock of surprise down the Demon Slayers' spines, their eyes flashing with awareness as the demon was easily distracted by their own frustration.

BANG! BANG!

Two more gunshots followed the attack, the arms six arms of the creature ripped off from its body by Genya's Nichirin bullets.

"Shikamaru-san! Now!"

Ichigo doges around the crowd, her braid flowing behind her like a tail. "Dream Breathing— Sixth Form: Rise of the Restless!" Her movements were like a flowing aroma of grace, unlike the strikes of jabs she planted on the demon's stiffened back. And finally, for the final step, she unsheathed her dusk-coloured Nichirin blade, beheading the demon once and for all as the beaded necklace that decorated his neck shattered to the ground.

The flare building in Kaji's palm remained a spark, his breathing seeming to stop as the beads of his bracelet chipped.

".. Rizumu's dead."

Hitomi reached her hand up to her hair, brushing her long nail over the crack indented into the bead that held her hair. ".. No. It can't be.." Her throat felt as dry as a desert. Fumbling with the trigger of her gun, she shot another bullet into the ground. She couldn't locate her brother. She couldn't sense him. '... he is. Onichan really is dead.' The girl, the Demon Slayer Kaji was facing, she had something to do with it, didn't she?!

"You! How did you kill him?! Are you some kind of spiritual freak?!" Hitomi pointed an unsteady gun at Fukurō, feeling vulnerable from the loss of a group member.

Fukurō glared at the two, the smoke invading her lungs messing with her voice. "There's three of you?" The rush in her blood rushed her speech, words slightly slurred, "They must have done a pretty good job. But don't worry.." She paused once she felt the need to cough, ".. You'll meet the third one soon. Hopefully far away from the people you unrightfully killed."

By the time Hitomi could shake her brother out of his trance, Fukurō was already dashing onto the roof they stood on. 'How could that brat still run even after Kaji's smoke entered her lungs?!' Hitomi wondered.

"Don't stay on the roof. It's unsafe." Fukurō stated before raising her blade towards Hitomi's neck. Her voice was already raspy. That meant her time was limited.

"Kaji!" Hitomi called out, diving away from Fukurō's attack. A quick dive, one right off of the roof.

"Wind Breathing—Fifth Form: Cold Mountain Wind."

Hitomi's effort was really for nothing. The impact from hitting the ground couldn't be compared to the pain that tore through her neck. A pain that she never felt before, a pain that she never believed she could feel.

Fukurō ignored the environment around her, the deep eyes she had gluing to the final demon. Just like before, the final demon's bracelet cracked and shattered, the indents deeper than they were prior. Right as she was preparing for her final slash, she felt her soul fleeing from her body as a voice, that wasn't her own, spoke up.

"Oh sweet child, If there's one more person dying here tonight, I won't let it be me!"
