As the fireworks show concluded, a crash of applause was heard from around the four Demon Slayers, and they all had decided to applaud as well.
"Arigatō! It's an honour to show my passion towards such a crowd!" A figure leaps on top of the highest roof of the homes lined behind the stalls, the crowd hushed in both interest and confusion from the sudden voice and looming figure. A beaded bracelet peeked out from under the haori sleeve of the figure, the fireworks bringing the slightest light to its silhouette.
"Who's this guy?" Minorikoji mumbled under his breath, raising an eyebrow.
"You see, I didn't just organize this celebration to celebrate the world we live in, but something much better for my siblings and I!"
Now everybody went silent, no murmurs or mutters from mothers to their children when the latter wouldn't stay quiet and respectful.
The figure sighed in boredom, firework-like flares sparking from their supposed hands. "Alright, let's get this over with, and I'll put it simple. All of you here are going to die. Each and every one of you are going to be dead by the time the sun sets up."
"Got it? Great! Let the feast begin!"
A strike of lightning crashes down right at the group of people, screams of hysteria crying out as havoc began. Fukurō could feel the striking heat through the ground as the blaze of fireworks hit it, widening her eyes.
Another blaze of fireworks strikes from the figure's fingers, this time towards a young child who was frozen in shock by the chaos building around him. An easy kill, as one would say.
Dashing towards the child as she drops the box of Furin on the ground, Fukurō grabbed his wrist as she pulls him away from the building flame. Trampling feet slammed down as the people scurried away from the burning glow."Are you alright?" She asked, dusting off the child's shoulders. The child's eyes water, lip trembling, "I.. I wanna go home! I wanna go home!" He sobbed as Fukurō looked around with alarm, patting the child's shoulder.
"Run away! Quickly! Get your families and run!" Minorikoji yelled, looking up hopefully at the smoke-hinted sky as he begged for the Kasugai crowd to appear. 'Where in the world are they?!'
"Evacuate everyone while we wait for our weapons! Don't just stand there!" Fukurō degrades as she ushers Ichigo over to the child. "Take care of him, please. I'll keep the demon away. Find his parents in the crowd."
"H-Hai." Ichigo nodded, picking up the young boy. It was unexpected to see how much of a switch in nature Fukurō had, from sweet and quiet to demanding and responsible."You're okay being by yourself?"
Fukurō nods, picking up a water-filled bowl from one of the many Kingko Sukui games and splashing the water onto the engulfing fire. "Tsuyoshi—"
"I'll stay with you. More bowls, right?"
Fukurō's eyebrows furrow. "No. Help Shinazugawa-san evacuate the others!" She exclaimed, taking a sigh of relief as the flame died down. Her relief was short lived as the demon shot another firework at the stampede of people. "Quickly, Goddamn it! Get your ass moving!"
"Ah— Sumimasen!" Minorikoji jolted, darting away as he dragged Genya along with him in urgency. He had been trapped in another daze. The way Fukurō had immediately taken initiative as soon as disaster struck was like one of an alert leader, and someone with great responsibility.
"You can run all you'd like, but you can't hide!" The demon cackles, flicking a spark in the sky in enjoyment. "You still have three cliffs to climb!"
