Lina's POV

I open my eyes slowly, blinking away my sleep. The sun is shining through the curtains warming the skin of my mate and I. I turn my head to look at her and she's already staring at me. Golden orbs sparkling as a bright smile adorns her face.

"Good morning sweetheart," she says to me.

"Good morning...were you watching me sleep again?"

"Mhmm. For about an hour or so."

"An hour?" I shift a little to fully turn to her.

"You look so peaceful when you sleep. I swear when I first looked at you this morning you had sparkles radiating off your skin...that's how much you were glowing in the morning sun." She recalls, having a look of joy and wonder in her eyes.

"Is that so??" I shift a little to look at her better.

"I thought I was dreaming when I saw you. You get even more beautiful everyday. I hadn't fully realized it until you fell asleep in my arms last night...but I've started falling in love with you too. That sounds insane out loud. And it could just be our bond talking but...I feel it, what I feel is real to me." She looks into my eyes as she says this and I couldn't be happier. I start to grin, grabbing her face and kissing her. Music to my ears...she's falling in love with me. This is better than I could've ever even hoped for.

"I'm so happy to hear you say that. You have no idea." She rests her head against mine.

"I'm happy to call you mine, Lina...that won't be changing any time soon...perhaps ever. You and I were meant to be together. As strangely quick as my mind and heart have changed, I fully believe that." She nods a little.

"I'm so glad to hear that. I'm relieved you've had a change of heart like this. I waited so long to feel wanted by someone, anyone and having you deny me at first, I'll admit, did hurt but I'm happy things have turned around for the better."

"I am too." She moves her head up to kiss my forehead. She then takes a deep breath in. "Shall I get you breakfast?"

"You read my mind." I laugh as my mate rolls out of bed, putting some clothes on.

"Well your stomach was growling in your sleep." She pokes fun at me. I shake my head.

"I was dreaming of bacon! What can I say?" I joke.

"Okay, so bacon, what else?"

"Make I a breakfast sandwich...on a biscuit. Egg, strawberry jam and cheese if you would, darling~?"

"Your wish is my command~." She winks, coming over to smooch my cheek before heading downstairs I sit and wait for a while. After some time I start to worry a bit. I decide to get up and find her. Wearing her shirt from last night. I walk down to the kitchen looking around Eli but she's nowhere to be found...it looks like she was in the middle of making my breakfast but stopped and left. It doesn't look like there was a struggle. The sliding door is closed a crack. I follow in her footsteps, her scent. I keep following it, bare feet stepping into the dirt and grass. I follow her scent to the border. I can finally see my mate and sigh in a little bit of relief...but then I finally see she's talking to someone. Someone I didn't expect to see today. I walk up to them and I can almost feel the flames burning from her eyes.
