-Lina's POV-
WHEN YOU SEE THIS ** THATS WHEN THINGS ARE GONNA GET NSFW, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.After leaving the house again, giving Elia the time she needed to get our first little date ready, I start heading back towards our spot. Before I can get too close, someone sneaks up from behind and covers my eyes. I can already smell her scent and I laugh. "Hmmm I wonder who that might be," I say sarcastically, playing along.
"No peaking until we get there. I want to surprise you."
"Okay." I shake my head a little and start walking. I let her steer me a little bit so I don't run into any trees. I can hear the buzzing whir of a generator possibly but it seems to be masked by some soft music and it seems to get louder as we grow closer to it.
"Okay, open your eyes now." She uncovers my eyes and slowly I open them to see the most beautiful scene I've ever experienced in my life. It's like something straight out of a movie. Our tree is decorated with an abundance of string lights and beneath it is a few blankets and pillows, a few bottles of wine and even a charcuterie board. I'm in awe in how she pulled this together.
"How in the world did you get all of this and set it up on your own?!" I grin in disbelief. Walking closer to our little haven, gently running my hands along the hanging lights.
"I had a little bit of help from your right hand man. I reached out and he was really happy to help. He's a great guy, I'm really glad you have him as your beta. We got to know each other a little bit."
"I'm so happy to hear that. This is really beautiful, Elia, thank you." I turn back to smile at her.
"You're welcome..." she smiles as she closes the space between us, pressing our full, soft lips together.
"Mm...let's crack open that wine now, shall we?"
"Excellent idea." She nods, going to sit and offering her hand to help me down on the little picnic bed she created for us.
"It's a nice night, not too cold." I say, resting my head on her shoulder as she grabs the corkscrew , going to uncork the wine. I take a few bites of pepper jack from the board as I watch her strong arms twist the tool into the cork. "You know, I was given a month to convince you to be with me before I had to go on suppressants," with that, the cork makes an audible pop as she pulls it out with ease before backing up just the tiniest bit to look at me.
"Really?"
"Yeah. My heats have gotten so bad and I've been alone with no one to sate them but myself. You've at least had Grace to keep you calm."
"I'm so sorry...you've been suffering alone all this time."
"I never gave up hope, not once. I barely tried and you wanted to be with me all on your own. It's the way I wanted it to be which I why I never said anything until now. I wanted you to be with me out of your own accord, not for pity or to spite Grace, whatever the case. I wanted this to be as genuine as possible because that's how the goddess intended it to be." She smiles, an expression of relief.
"I'm so glad you didn't give up...I won't make you wait any longer for me, that's a promise."
"I'm glad to hear that." I smile back at her. She pours us each a glass of wine. She's not too heavy handed with it which I appreciate. I want us to remember as much as possible.
