After we headed inside, we ate breakfast together in bed. I decided to take her along on my regular daily routine. We trained with dad, made our rounds, talking to the other warriors and any pack members we crossed paths with. She got to see me talk to everyone more, be who I am as Queen and I would like to think she changed her perspective on me and those who came before. We are just like everyone else besides a rank that we didn't even choose. I could say the same about the rogues. They didn't all choose to live that way. Some of them lived in corrupt packs that fell apart and they ran to save themselves. After a long day of going through my checklist, I get an unexpected summoning from the council as I'm laying on Elia's chest. I quickly sit up once the voice is gone.

Meet us in the council hall. Bring your new mate with you, the familiar voice said.

"What is it, love?" Elia sits up as well, rubbing my back.

"The council wants to see us."

"Huh...I wonder why."

"I guess there's only one way to find out." I get off of the bed and start heading down the stairs and out of the main house. Elia is quick to follow me. We head to a smaller building at the center of our grounds and meet the council inside. I take her hand once we've slowed down. "You wanted to see us?" I ask as the council is all sitting at their stands. Papa incorporated the council when we were close to being of age. He understood how difficult it was being so young on the throne and he didn't want us to feel alone. The council hears the pleas of the people, their concerns, their suggestions and they bring them to my sister and myself so we can have the final say. The council also makes suggestions for us to possibly take. They show us different perspectives as well.

"We haven't gotten a chance to personally meet Elia since she formally took you as her mate."  The first councilwoman answers.

"Well it's nice to meet you all. Elia Carter. What are all of your names?" She asks. I can see in her expression that she doesn't believe that's all they wanted us for. I don't believe it for a second either.

"My name is Vizla,"

"Dorian," a man says.

"Justice."

"Loria."

"Kyle."

"Nice to formally meet you all....was that all you needed?"

"Well," Kyle starts, "there is one other tiny little thing."

"And what might that be?" I cross my arms over my chest.

"Well, we are aware Miss Grace came to the borders with threats and her anger. We understand you both have officially been mated but we need to know if you've made it so you secured the bloodline? Your brothers are unmarried and not really in an official standpoint but you and your sister are. She hasn't made any progress as far as we know but you...you are truly the face of this pack. Have you finally been able to do as we've been waiting for?" I scoff at their words. Seriously? This is what they're asking me right now?

"I don't know yet. Yes we've laid together but we didn't plan for it to be unprotected but we got so addicted to it, we couldn't really stop. I've fallen in love with her and right now that's what truly matters."

"We understand that but we need you and Elia. You are the bridge to so many things that could change this world if we can stop the conflict, it would be best for all parties involved. You can do so much good and your bloodline, a child will be proof that rogues and Royals can coexist, fall in love truly even. We need a savior heir and we need it now. Your sister has a wife of stature so as beautiful as their love may be, it won't take the world by storm but you...you being the one to provide a world changing heir...you would go down in history, Lina. Your child would change everything."
