Samm's Side -

We pulled up infront of Damon's house about a little less than an hour or so. Apparently our apartment was close by because Evan was happy that it wasn't that far of a drive.

'I'm here(:' I texted Damon.

"Please Samm, don't do anything you'll regret in the morning tomorrow. No alcohol, no parties, nothing okay? I know it's Friday, but just stay inside tonight. Edit some videos, I don't know. Just please don't go out. You'll need the rest for tomorrow anyways." Evan told me before I got out of the car.

"If anything happens, I'll let you know. Promise." The sound of a door opening caught my ears and I froze. "Is he out there?"

Evan nodded his head and I took a deep breath.

"Open the trunk please." He did as I said and I grabbed my duffle bag. In the trunk were only four suitcases, the rest of our things were being driven over by one of Evans friends with a Uhaul.

"Have fun Samm. I'll call you when I get to the apartment, alright?"

"Alright Evan. Love you. Don't get lost." I teased. Evan nodded his head as I straightened up. He drove away as I waved goodbye.

Before I could turn around, I began filling my mind with positive thoughts. I could handle one day with an ex, besides he said other people were here. If things with Damon couldn't work, then I at least could talk to someone else.

"Samm?" Damon asked as he approached me, leaves crunching under his feet.

One deep breath, two blinks, three flips of my hair. It was time.

Turning around, I faced Damon.

"Hey!" I placed my bag on the sidewalk and walked towards him. Whether he wanted a hug or not, he was going to get one.

My body crashed into his as I grasped him in a super tight hug and he returned the squeezing.

Damon and I could stand there for an eternity and it wouldn't matter. Being in his arms would forever make me feel safe, dating or not.

It was dark outside with it being a little past six o'clock in the morning. The moon was long gone and the sun was beginning to awaken, ready for its job of illuminating the world.

I let my head lay softly on his chest before he began stroking my hair. He let his fingers trail down my neck before I pulled away.

"Hey Damon." A genuine smile made its way onto my face. One of those smiles that showed my entire mouth.

"Samm. It's so good to see you." Damon said with a goofy grin.

"Can we go inside? I'm kind of hungry and I have to pee."

"Oh! Yeah, sure. Here let me grab your bag."

"I WAS BORN TO MAKE YOU SMILE. I WAS BORN TO MAKE YOU SHINE." My phone screamed, I gave a 'hold on' finger before sliding my phone open.

"Hello?" I asked.

"I know your secret." Someone's voice said darkly in my ear.

"Uh, who's this?" My eyebrows furrowed, I didn't have a secret. I was totally honest with people.

"Don't lie to me. I know about that one time-" The voice said before I heard laughing in the background,

"MATT WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Leda's voice screamed at him.

"Bye Matt." I hung up the phone and placed it in my back pocket.

"Matt? He's inside." Damon snapped out of a daydream.
