"Samm, wake up. Someone's here for you." Evan said to me as he shook my shoulders.
"Who is it?" I asked, wiping the drool off of my face. Sitting up in bed, I rubbed my eyes, and sneezed.
"Sneeze you and it's some guy named Joey?" Immediatly my face lit up.
How the hell did Joey find me? Sure, I talked about moving to an apartment in Florida but I didn't give exact details. Why did Joey always know how to find me?
"Tell him to come in." I mumbled as I scratched my face. Evan made a click of his tongue before heaving himself off of my bed to let Joey in.
Sighing quietly to myself, I grabbed my glasses from the ground (I don't know how they got there) and placed them on my face. I blinked rapidly a few times before my eyesight adjusted.
"Hey Sammy-anya!" Joey said happily before coming up to me with his arms open. I returned the hug before scooting over and patting the space next to me.
"Sit. What's up Joey?" His cheeks were tinted rosy red, his grin was large showing all of his teeth, and his eyes gleamed with happiness.
"Do you know what you're doing this summer?" He asked.
"Officially I don't, but I want to go somewhere else. Why?"
"Do you like England? Specifically Manchester, Wales, and London?"
"Yeah, I do actually. London is gorgeous from what I've seen. Why Joey? Tell me why!"
"I may have a spare ticket to fly to England this summer. Would you, Samm, please be my flying buddy to England this summer?"
"JOEY!" I squeeled with excitment. "No way! I can't accept that."
"Girl, it's okay. You can have it for free." Joey's voice and body language was turning less happier by the minute.
"I sense that there's a 'but' in there somewhere." This was too good to be true. Sure, Joey may be my friend, but he wanted something. I don't know what that something is, but I was going to find out.
"Yeah... so, here's the catch." I prepared myself for the worst. "You'd be sharing a room with Cat and I know you don't really care for her."
"Oh, that's not THAT bad. I thought we were talking life and death. I'll just sleep on the streets when she's in the room." I stated blandly.
Cat from Catrific annoyed me to no end. Why Joey was friends with her blew my mind because she was annoying, an attention hog everytime I tried talking to Joey when she was around, and antisocial around Joey's other friends.
Don't get me wrong, I'm antisocial but at least I make an attempt at talking to others. She just sits there on her phone for a whole party in a corner. Before she annoyed the crap out of me, we were both at a party celebrating something Joey had accomplished, and she was just being plan... Creepy.
-*Flasback*-
"Congrats Joey!" I shouted as I gave Joey a big hug. He returned the hug, his face shining in the disco ball light.
"Thanks for coming Samm. Mingle away, alright?" Joey left me with one more big hug before going off to talk with some other people.
I saw this girl in the corner, her face was lit by the light of her phone. Why she wasn't talking to anyone bothered me for whatever reason, so I maneuvered through the dancing bodies to get to the girl.
"Hey! I'm Samm!" I shouted over the loud music that was playing. She looked up at me and gave me a huge smile.
"Hi. I'm Cat." She stuck her hand out and I shook it in a polite manner.
