Today, I would be doing my last few months of 10th grade in Florida. I wasn't excited at all that I has to make new friends and be in a different culture, but what was I going to do?

"Samm, we have to go! Are you ready?" Evan called from the kitchen.

I was currently in my room freaking out. What if people knew me? What if they made my life hell like they did in the other school? These thoughts running through my head made me so scared.

"Samm we have to-" Evan said as he walked in my room but stopped when he saw me on my bed, curled up in fetal position. "Hey, are you okay?"

He sat down next to me on my bed and pushed my probably messy hair out of my already-make-uped face.

"I don't want to go Evan." I whimpered.

"You have to Samm. I know it's scary, but you're strong. You can do anything."

"Do you really believe that?" I asked him.

"If I didn't believe it, I wouldn't say it."

"Okay. I guess we should go then." I stated shakily after my nerves weren't as high. The both of us stood up and Evan gave me a hug.

"I'll go outside and turn the car on." Evan stated, leaving me to my thoughts only.

"You can do this Samm." I whispered under my breath. I rebrushed my hair and frowned at my roots. They were so dark, creating an unflattering contrast to my light orange/borderline blonde hair. Looks like I was going to be dying my hair soon.

After grabbing my backpack, I locked the door behind me. I pulled my phone out and tapped on the camera app. Switching it to video mode, I tapped on the button that would allow me to film.

"Hey guys!" I said happily. "I'm finishing 10th grade here in Florida, and I'm not going to lie. I'm terrified haha."

I made my way to the elevator and hit the bottom floor button.

"Going down." The elevator said.

"Can't you see that I'm vlogging?" I told the elevator even though I knew it wouldn't understand me.

I continued talking to my phone all the way through the apartment lobby, all the way outside, and even when Evan began driving me.

Finally, fifteen minutes later, I arrived at the school.

"Have a great first day of school Samm." My brother said when he parked the car.

"Samm, you have to get out now." Evan told me when I didn't get out.

"I don't want to." I whispered.

"You have to. I called the office and they have someone who is in all of your classes guiding you around."

Great. Now everyone has easy access to the new meat.

"Is it too late to be homeschooled?" I asked as I opened the door.

"Bye Samm." Evan said after laughing.

I stood outside of the school watching people walk past me.

People were giving me glances, so I put my head down, and began looking for the office. When I found it, I stepped inside the building, and walked up to the counter.

"Hello hello! You must be Samm Porter. You're even prettier in person." A lady in her mid-40s said when she spotted me.

"Oh thank you." I gave her a small smile but didn't say anything after that. While she looked for my papers, I stood in the warm room in silence.
