(VIII) 'I wanna do a lot of things for you.'

The next day.

In the evening, Yoongi walks into his house wearing a black T-shirt. He steps into the kitchen and spots Mrs Min.

He asks, 'Did you make something for Jimin today?'
She answers, 'No, Yoongi.'
He says, 'All right.'
She says, 'You seem to be very interested in meeting Jimin.'
He says, 'Nothing like that.'
She says, 'I'll make something tomorrow.'

He says, 'Okay...' and walks off.

Later at night, Yoongi is sitting on the couch with his laptop. He sighs heavily and grabs his phone. He is about to make a call to Jimin but another call interrupts him. He answers the call with a frustrated look on his face.

'Hello...'

'Now?'

'All right...'

'I'll send it to you.'

'Bye.'

He hangs up and tosses his phone onto the couch. He starts to type something on his laptop.

A couple of hours pass.

Yoongi yawns and closes his laptop. He grabs his phone and clicks his tongue upon noticing the time—it is "12:36".

He sighs heavily and stands up with his phone and laptop. He keeps his laptop on the bedside table and plugs in his phone to charge. He goes to bed with a gloomy look on his face.

The next day.

Yoongi is sitting on a chair in the meeting room—he is fiddling with his bracelet.

A few young men and women walk into the room.

Yoongi stops fiddling with the bracelet and clears his throat. He stands up and begins the meeting.

In the evening, Yoongi walks into his house wearing a blazer over a white shirt with a tie—his jean trousers are black. He is about to walk upstairs but Mrs Min interrupts him by calling his name.

He asks, 'What?'
She answers, 'I've baked some chocolate muffins.'
He says, 'I'll take them to Jimin.'
She says, 'What's the hurry, Yoongi? Go freshen up first.'

He hums faintly and rushes upstairs. He steps into his bedroom and hurriedly does his chores.

He rushes downstairs and grabs the box of muffins from Mrs Min. He hurries out of the house.

Mrs Min presses her lips tight—she looks lost in thought.

Yoongi walks to Jimin's house and rings the doorbell. Mr Park opens the door and lets Yoongi in.

Yoongi says, 'Mum baked some chocolate muffins. She wanted me to hand over them here.'
Mr Park says, 'You can take them to his room. I'm on a diet. My blood glucose levels are high.'
Yoongi says, 'Okay, Uncle Park.'

Mr Park smiles a little and closes the door.

Yoongi walks upstairs with the muffins and knocks on Jimin's door. He says, 'It's me.'

Jimin opens the door and smiles.

Yoongi walks in and closes the door.

Jimin frowns as he notices the noise from Yoongi's bracelet.

Yoongi says, 'I brought some chocolate muffins for you.' and makes Jimin hold the box.

Jimin says, 'Thank Aunt Min for me.' and flashes a warm smile.

Yoongi says, 'Sure.' and sits on the couch.

Jimin says, 'Sit down, Yoongi.' and walks to the couch.

Yoongi says, 'Uh... I'm sitting already.'

Jimin says, 'All right.' and sits on the couch.

Jimin opens the box and grabs a muffin. He offers the rest of the muffins to Yoongi and the latter grabs one. They enjoy their muffins.

Quite soon, Yoongi and Jimin are sitting still on the couch. The former clears his throat grabbing Jimin's attention.

Yoongi says, 'I'm wearing a noisy bracelet.'
Jimin says, 'Oh... That explains the sounds.'
Yoongi says, 'Aye...'
Jimin says, 'You don't like noises. How come you bought a noisy bracelet?'
Yoongi says, 'I bought it for you.'

Jimin frowns in response.

Yoongi continues, 'I mean... I'm wearing it for you. Like... You can identify me even if I don't say anything.' and gulps nervously.

Jimin chuckles softly and says, 'You don't have to do all this, Yoongi.'

Yoongi says, 'I wanna do a lot of things for you.'
Jimin asks, 'Why? Because you pity me?'
Yoongi answers, 'You know why I'm doing all this.

Jimin presses his lips tight and sits still.

Yoongi stands up and asks, 'What book do you wanna read?'

Jimin answers, 'The last book that I touched with my hands but couldn't read even a single page... Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky.'
Yoongi asks, 'Do you remember where you've kept it?'
Jimin answers, 'Not really.'
Yoongi says, 'No worries. Let me look up for it.'

Jimin presses his hands on the couch as Yoongi starts to search for the book.
