(XVII) 'Let them see.'

Quite soon, Yoongi and Jimin are standing in front of a lady in her 40s and a man in his 30s.

Yoongi holds the office bag in his left hand and shakes hands with them as he says, 'Hello... Yoongi Min.'

She says, 'Jennifer White. This is my husband Joseph White.' and flashes a professional smile.

Joseph shakes hands with Yoongi as he says, 'Hello, Mr Min.' and shows his hand to Jimin.

Yoongi says, 'This is Jimin Park. He's my husband.' and pauses as he notices the puzzled look on Joseph's face. He continues, 'Jimin is blind.'

Joseph immediately takes his hand back and says, 'Hello, Mr Park.'

Jimin smiles at no one in particular and says, 'Hello...'

Jennifer says, 'Please.' and gestures asking Yoongi and Jimin to sit.

Yoongi makes Jimin sit in front of Joseph and then, sits next to Jimin with his office bag.

Joseph says, 'Let's talk business.' and smiles professionally.

Yoongi says, 'Sure.' and opens his office bag. He grabs a document with a few pieces of paper and a pen. He keeps it on the table in front of him and continues, 'Here you go.'

Shortly, Yoongi keeps the document in his office bag and closes it. He spares a glance at Jimin and looks at Jennifer.

Jennifer says, 'It was a pleasure doing business with you, Mr Min.'
Joseph says, 'It's time for lunch... How about we have something before we leave?'
Yoongi says, 'Sure, Mr White.'

Jimin hesitantly flashes a smile.

Jennifer says, 'I feel a little hungry, too.' and chuckles softly.

Jimin tightens his hold on Yoongi's arm grabbing, his attention.

Joseph says, 'Let's have steak and wine to celebrate Jennifer signing the contract.'
Yoongi says, 'Sure.'

Jimin whispers, 'Yoongi...' and gulps nervously.

Yoongi glances at Jimin and hums in a questioning tone.

Jimin gulps anxiously in response.

Yoongi says, 'Tell me, baby.'
Jimin whispers, 'I might end up making a mess while having steak.'
Yoongi says, 'I'll cut it into small pieces for you. Does that sound okay?'
Jimin whispers, 'People could see us, Yoongi.'
Yoongi says, 'That's all right. Let them see.'

Jimin presses his lips tight and sits still facing Joseph.

Soon, Joseph and Jennifer are having steak and red wine. Yoongi is cutting Jimin's steak into pieces.

An uneasy look is persistent on Jimin's face.

Yoongi keeps Jimin's plate in front of him and makes him hold the fork. He makes Jimin touch a piece of steak with the fork and says, 'Your wine is on your left, baby.'

Jimin says, 'Thank you...' and takes a bite out of his steak.

Yoongi begins to have his steak.

Jennifer says, 'You guys look cute together.' and sips a little wine.

Yoongi says, 'That's so sweet of you, Mrs White.'
Jennifer asks, 'Did you meet him in your country?'
Yoongi answers, 'I've been living in London ever since my grandfather moved here. I met Jimin at the university.'

Joseph asks, 'University? How come he went to the same university as you?'
Jennifer says, 'Stop it, babe.'
Jimin says, 'It's all right. My eyes were fine when he met me for the first time. I met with an accident and lost my eyesight. We got married because he was fine with the fact that I can't see.'

Yoongi brushes Jimin's thigh under the table as he says, 'We are waiting for a donor. If he can get a corneal transplant, he'll get to see again.'

Jennifer says, 'I hope you both will find a donor soon.' and smiles a little.

Yoongi says, 'Thank you, Mrs White.' and flashes a smile with his lips pressed tight.

Shortly, Yoongi shakes hands with Jennifer and Joseph. He tightens his grip on his office bag and walks out of the restaurant with Jimin—he is holding Yoongi's left arm.

Quite soon, Yoongi is driving Jimin somewhere. The latter looks lost in thought and Yoongi notices it.

Yoongi asks, 'What's wrong, baby?' and brushes Jimin's thigh once.

Jimin flinches and answers, 'Nothing...'

Yoongi says, 'Uh-oh, it doesn't work with me.'
Jimin asks, 'What?'
Yoongi answers, 'Something is wrong for sure.'
Jimin says, 'Well... I was just thinking.'
Yoongi asks, 'Thinking what?'
Jimin answers, 'I was just wondering how this trip would have been if I had my eyesight.'

Yoongi presses his lips tight—he does not respond to Jimin.

Almost two hours pass.

Yoongi and Jimin walk into the latter's house. Mrs Park and Mr Park are sitting on the couch—they seem to be waiting impatiently for something or perhaps, someone.

Yoongi closes the door and asks, 'What is it?'

Mrs Park gets the office bag from Yoongi's hand and keeps it on the couch. She flashes a hopeful smile with tears in her eyes.

Jimin tightens his hold on Yoongi's arm and asks, 'Is something wrong?'

Mrs Park answers, 'I just... Can't believe it.'
Jimin asks, 'Believe what?'

Mr Park stands up from the couch and steps closer to Jimin. He gives Jimin a quick hug and says, 'We got a call from the hospital.'

Yoongi asks, 'Is this about Jimin's surgery?'
Mr Park answers, 'They've found a donor for Jimin.'

Tears roll down Jimin's eyes.

Mrs Park holds Yoongi's hand and shakes it a little with happiness—her tears fall to the floor.

Yoongi chuckles with teary eyes and Mrs Park lets go of his hand.

Yoongi turns to face Jimin and embraces him. Jimin nuzzles up against Yoongi's neck and sobs silently.

Yoongi brushes Jimin's nape and plants a kiss on his head. He says, 'I told you, baby...'

Yoongi feels Jimin's nod against his neck. Jimin breaks the kiss and squeezes his lips against the corner of Yoongi's lips.

Yoongi holds Jimin's face and squeezes his lips against Jimin's. He closes his eyes and tears fall to the floor.
