(XVII) 'My baby's boyfriend.'

The next day.

Yoongi is standing in the kitchen in front of Mrs Min. He gulps nervously and avoids her eyes.

She asks, 'Why do you wanna learn how to bake?'
He answers, 'No reason.'
She says, 'I'm not gonna teach you until you give me a valid reason.'

He looks at her and says, 'Fine.'

She raises her chin—a questioning gesture.

He walks out of the kitchen without another word to her.

She says to herself, 'What on earth?' and begins to do the dishes.

The next day.

Yoongi is standing in front of Jimin's house. He rings the doorbell and adjusts his shirt.

Mrs Park opens the door and looks at Yoongi from top to toe—she looks a little surprised.

He asks, 'Is Jimin home?'
She answers, 'He's always home, Yoongi. After what happened, he went out for the first time with you... Apart from visiting hospitals, of course.'

He smiles awkwardly and says, 'I'll go meet him, Aunt Park.'

She says, 'Sure.' and flashes a warm smile.

He walks upstairs and stands in front of Jimin's door. He knocks on the door and waits patiently.

Jimin says, 'Come in.'

Yoongi opens the door and steps in. He closes the door and walks to Jimin—the latter is standing in front of the wardrobe.

Jimin closes the wardrobe and feels two strong arms around his waist. He clicks his tongue and tries to free himself from Yoongi's hold.

Yoongi tightens his hold on Jimin's waist and sniffs his neck. Jimin quivers and moans softly as Yoongi plants a wet kiss on Jimin's neck.

Yoongi whispers in Jimin's ear, 'Someone said that I'm not his boyfriend.'

Jimin presses his lips tight and stands still.

Yoongi continues, 'How come you've become so weak when I hold you?'
Jimin says, 'I'm not weak, Yoongi-'

Yoongi shushes Jimin and whispers, 'Lower your voice.'

Jimin whispers, 'I'm not weak. I didn't expect you to kiss my neck out of the blue.'
Yoongi whispers, 'I'm not saying that you're weak. You're strong, Jimin. Both mentally and physically. It's just that you're weak when I hold you in my arms.'

Jimin whispers, 'You're someone I love. It's normal to become weak when you hold me.'
Yoongi whispers, 'So you do agree that you love me.'
Jimin whispers, 'I said it already over the phone yesterday, didn't I?'

Yoongi whispers, 'Fair enough.' and sniffs Jimin's neck.

Jimin says, 'Let me go.' and manages to free himself from Yoongi's hold.

Jimin asks, 'You didn't come here just to read a book to me, did you?'
Yoongi asks, 'What's with that question, baby?'
Jimin says, 'Don't call me that. Mum could hear you.'
Yoongi says, 'Ah... All right, but what was with that question?'
Jimin says, 'Well... You're being naughty.'

Yoongi asks, 'Don't you like it?'
Jimin answers, 'No.'
Yoongi says, 'You love it then.'
Jimin says, 'I must say that you have a lot of confidence.'
Yoongi asks, 'Who am I?'
Jimin asks, 'Who are you?'

Yoongi whispers, 'My baby's boyfriend.' and flashes a smug smile.

Jimin says, 'I never knew that you could act like this.'
Yoongi asks, 'Act like what?'
Jimin answers, 'I don't know-'

Jimin's sentence is interrupted by the knocks on the door.

Yoongi walks to the door and opens it.

Mrs Park flashes a smile and says, 'Orange juice for the boys.'

Yoongi says, 'Thank you, Aunt Park.' and grabs a glass of juice. He looks at Jimin and continues, 'Come here, Jimin.'

Jimin walks to Yoongi and the latter gives him a glass of juice. He takes the other glass and smiles at Mrs Park.

Mrs Park walks off and Yoongi closes the door.

Jimin traces the floor with his feet and walks to the couch. He slowly sits on the couch and begins to sip on his juice.

Yoongi sighs and sips on his juice a little. He keeps the glass on the table next to the couch and asks, 'What book do you wanna read?'

Jimin answers, 'You can choose.'
Yoongi asks, 'Can I?'
Jimin answers, 'Yes.'
Yoongi says, 'All right. Let me search for a book.'
Jimin says, 'Okay.'

Yoongi starts to search the bookshelf and grabs a book. He reads, 'Learn Linux in three days.'

Jimin asks, 'What am I gonna do after learning Linux? Sit still in front of a desktop?'
Yoongi answers, 'I just read what was written on the cover of the first book.'

Jimin exhales sharply in response.

Yoongi grabs another book and reads, 'Finance and Economics Reimagined.'

Jimin says, 'No.' and resumes sipping on his juice.

Yoongi keeps the books in his hands on the shelf and grabs another book. He reads, 'The perfect murder.'

Jimin says, 'I read it already.'
Yoongi says, 'All right. Let me search again.'

Jimin hums in response.

Yoongi keeps the book back in its place and grabs another book. He reads, 'George Orwell 1984.'

Jimin says, 'I wanna hear you read this one.'

Yoongi flashes a glance at Jimin and presses his lips tight as he hums.
