(XV) 'Jimin is my husband.'

A few days pass.

On a fine evening.

Yoongi's parents are sitting on the couch in front of Mr Park.

Mrs Park keeps six cups of tea on the table between the couches and sits next to Mr Park.

Jimin sits on a single couch and Yoongi grabs a cup of tea. He hands it over to Jimin and sits on the other single couch.

Quite soon, all of them are seen sipping on their tea. Mr Min seems to have something on his mind.

Mrs Min asks, 'How is everything, Yoongi?'
Yoongi answers, 'Good, Mum.'
Mrs Min asks, 'What about you, Jimin?'
Jimin answers, 'Good...'
Mr Min says, 'I have some business to talk to Yoongi.'
Yoongi says, 'Tell me, Dad.'

Mr Min says, 'Uh... It's business, Yoongi.'
Yoongi says, 'Jimin is my husband. You can say anything in front of him.'
Mr Min says, 'You have to attend a business trip.'
Yoongi asks, 'What? Why?'

Mr Min answers, 'One of our clients wants to meet up.'
Yoongi asks, 'Why can't you go meet him?'
Mr Min answers, 'Her. I can't go meet her because she lives in Cambridge and I don't have time tomorrow.'
Yoongi asks, 'Jennifer White?'

Mr Min crosses his legs and answers, 'Yes.'

Yoongi asks, 'Why does she wanna meet up all of a sudden?'
Mr Min answers, 'She wants to and as she's our important client... Well, all of our clients are important to us... You're gonna meet her.'
Yoongi says, 'I seriously don't feel like going. Why can't she come here though?'

Mr Min answers, 'She has some personal reasons that she doesn't wanna specify.'
Yoongi says, 'Come on, Dad.'
Mr Min says, 'You're going. Am I understood?'
Yoongi says, 'I don't wanna go...'
Mr Min says, 'Stop whining like a baby.'

Yoongi glances at Jimin—a disheartened look has filled the latter's face.

Yoongi asks, 'Is something wrong, baby?' and keeps the empty teacup on the table.

Jimin answers, 'N-no, Yoongi...'
Yoongi asks, 'Are you sure?'
Jimin answers, 'Yeah... I am...'
Yoongi says, 'All right.'

Jimin smiles a little in response.

Mrs Min asks, 'How about you take Jimin with you?'
Yoongi asks, 'What?'
Mrs Min answers, 'You both aren't going anywhere for honeymoon. You're hesitating to go even though you should go, as it's a business trip.'
Yoongi asks, 'Yeah, but why would I take him with me?'

Mrs Park says, 'He's your husband, Yoongi. Take him with you.'
Mr Min says, 'I used to take your mum with me whenever I went for a business trip.'
Mrs Min says, 'They're right. You'll get to explore places-'
Yoongi interrupts, 'It's just Cambridge, Mum. Not Paris.'

Mrs Min says, 'So? It doesn't matter where you go. The only thing that matters is who's gonna be with you when you go somewhere.'
Yoongi says, 'Well... It's a business trip and Jimin's gonna be bored.'
Mr Min says, 'It won't take long. She'll sign a contract. That's it.'

Yoongi hums and spares a glance at Jimin—the latter looks lost in thought.

An hour passes.

Yoongi is packing his office bag while Jimin is sitting on the couch in the bedroom. He spares a glance at Jimin—he still looks lost in thought.

Yoongi closes his office bag and walks to the couch. He slowly sits next to Jimin but the latter flinches as the former's bracelet makes a noise.

Yoongi asks, 'What's wrong, baby?'
Jimin answers, 'N-nothing...'
Yoongi says, 'I know that you're bothered. Isn't it about what we talked about earlier?'

Jimin hums in agreement.

Yoongi breathes deeply and continues, 'Baby, listen. If you don't wanna go with me, it's all right. I'm not gonna force-'

Jimin interrupts, 'You heard what your dad said.'
Yoongi asks, 'How does it concern us?'
Jimin answers, 'I'm your husband and I'm supposed to go with you.'
Yoongi says, 'Listen, baby... If you wanna go, I'll take you. I'll make sure that you enjoy the trip, but at the same time, if you don't wanna go, it's all right. It's your choice. Yeah?'

Jimin says, 'I don't know what to do.'
Yoongi says, 'I'm okay with it either way, baby.'
Jimin asks, 'Do you want me to go with you?'
Yoongi answers, 'I told you. It's totally your choice.'
Jimin says, 'I think I should go...'
Yoongi asks, 'Yeah? Is that what you want?'

Jimin hums sharply in agreement.

Yoongi says, 'I'll take care of you. Yeah?'
Jimin says, 'Yeah...'
Yoongi says, 'All right. Do you have anything to pack?'
Jimin asks, 'Isn't it a one-day trip?'
Yoongi answers, 'Aye.'
Jimin says, 'Just water will do... We'll have to pack that tomorrow.'

Yoongi hums in response.

Jimin reaches for Yoongi's arm and gently holds it. He rests his head on Yoongi's shoulder and stays still.

Yoongi plants a kiss on Jimin's head and strokes his hand.
