"You don't really believe he can run that fast, do you?"
Elizabeth understood Caitlin's hesitation in believing the brunette's recounted events once she and Barry had returned to S.T.A.R. Labs. If she hadn't been thrown into the back of the truck, something she was determined to hold a grudge against for a while, then she would agree with her fellow doctor. Therefore, those doubts are why the small group of five stood out on a vacant airstrip, a S.T.A.R. Labs van parked behind them, loaded with equipment. Elizabeth stood next to Caitlin while waiting for her brother to arrive in the outfit Cisco threw together.
"Well, I believe anything is possible, and in a few minutes, maybe you will too," Dr. Wells' voice called out from the other side of Caitlin. Watching the exchange, Elizabeth watched the gleam that encased Dr. Wells's eyes, making her uncomfortable, until the man's eyes flashed up to hers. Playing off her stare, Elizabeth plastered a small smile over her lips and turned away from the man. Pretending not to feel his eyes on the back of her head, Elizabeth stepped up to Cisco as he called out for Barry.
"How does it fit?"
"A little snug..."
Elizabeth made more than one memorable moment that day as she will never be able to forget the sight of her brother stepping out of the trailer in a tight, bright red leotard, padding covering various joints, and a dorky helmet with goggles covering his head. The younger brunette erupted in a burst of bubbling laughter as Barry's face dropped at the sight of his sister's joy. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up," Barry said with a smile. It was nice to hear his little sister laugh so heartily.
"Don't worry, buddy. At least you'll be moving so fast, no one will be able to see that," Cisco tried to reassure the older sibling as he patted him on the arm. "I wouldn't be so sure about that," Elizabeth admonished as the two men heard a camera shutter and a small flash of light. "Lizzy! You'll delete that if you know what's good for you!" Barry yelled as he surged forward to grab the phone out of his little sister's hands. Elizabeth dashed towards Caitlin and Dr. Wells to avoid her older brother and used the table as a barrier. Caitlin and Cisco watched the two siblings tease each other with joyful smiles gracing their lips. They shared similar thoughts with Barry. It was nice to see Elizabeth happy again.
"Mister and Misses Allen!" Dr. Wells called sternly before giving a look at the two siblings. "Right, sorry," both brunettes said with a sheepish smile as Cisco approached Barry and led him away from the tent. "See, you thought the world was slowing down. It wasn't. You were moving so fast. It only looked like everyone else was standing still. Dr. Wells will monitor your energy output, and Caitlin will watch your vitals, with Lizzy helping out."
"What do you do?"
"I make the toys, my man," Cisco explained before Elizabeth shot her head up from the tablet she watched Caitlin type away at. "Excuse you. We make the toys," she stated, strutting over to the pair, hands tucked into the pockets of her leather jacket and boots slamming into the asphalt. "Right, sorry, Lizzy," Cisco muttered before turning back to Barry, who was smiling at the two. "Check it out. This is a two-way headset with a camera we modified," Cisco showcased the device, a black disk detailed with a yellow lightning bolt. "Typically designed to combat battlefield impulse noise, or in your case, potential sonic booms," Elizabeth expanded with a chuckle. "Which would be awesome!" Cisco called as he took Barry's helmet and waved to Elizabeth to follow him.
