"How could you let them take Appa? Why didn't you stop them!?"

"I couldn't! The library was sinking! The library was still inside and I-"

"You could've come to get us! I could've saved him!"

"(Y/n)...calm down. It's okay. Please don't stress yourself!"

As Desme tries to help you calm your breathing, you take a long breath before deeply exhaling.

Ever since you got out of the library, your head's been a throbbing mess and Aang wasn't helping it at all.

Noticing the tension growing between Toph and Aang, you stand on your feet before blocking the two from each other, completely ignoring the throbbing pain in your head.

"Aang. You need to calm down. Toph did absolutely everything she could. Hell, even I did everything I could but, there was sand flying everywhere. I could barely see a thing and Toph couldn't feel any vibrations."

You place a hand on the boy's shoulder.

"You have to understand that we care for Appa too and would never want him hurt but...we couldn't prevent this. No matter how hard we tried. Toph saved our lives..."

"But, who's going to save our lives now?"

As Sokka overlooks the dessert and turns towards you all, an extremely concerned look makes its way onto his face.

"We're stranded out here with no way to get ou-"

"That's all you guys care about! Yourselves! You don't care whether Appa is okay or not!"

As Aang grabs his glider and runs out towards the dessert, you gasp before running after him. Before you can even take a step, however, Desme grabs you by the wrist before pulling you back towards him.

"(Y/n). We need you here with us."

"But, Aang..." The man holds you by the shoulders before looking you in the eyes. "Stay. We can't afford to lose you too."

As you see Aang's fleeting form, you sigh before slowly nodding your head. Turning your back towards everyone else, you stomp onto the ground before pushing your hands from your side and pulling them inwards.

As a small barrier makes its way over you and shields you all from the Sun, you immediately begin walking. As everyone else follows after you, you can only hope that Aang will be safe.

Zuko's POV:

"Maybe we should make camp."

"No please. Don't stop for me..." As my uncle continues to let out a series of pained groans, I sigh before stopping the ostrich.

As Iroh jumps off and immediately sits down on a rock, trying to catch his breath, I happen to hear something behind us.

Turning towards the forest, I hold up my hands, ready to fight.

"Oh, what now?"

As five men on rhinos surround us, Uncle grins before walking towards them and greeting the men. "Colonel Monkey. What a pleasant surprise."

"If you're surprised we're here then, the Dragon of the West has lost a few steps." I look towards Uncle, confused, as the man responds to him. "You know them?"

"Sure..." The men prepare their weapons. "Colonel Monkey and the Rough Rhinos are a legendary. Each one is a different type of weapon specialist. They are also a very capable singing group."

"We're not here to give a concert! We're here to apprehend fugitives. Especially, this one." As the man in front of me holds up a sketch, my eyes widen when I see the person on the front page.
