"It started back when I was.... 7? Sorry my memories a little fuzzy thinking that long ago. My parents in short didn't like me, I was an accident of sorts, unplanned and unwanted. I blocked out most of those memories but I do recall the harsh words and frequent attempts to.... G-get rid of me. Truthfully I'm not entirely sure how I ended up at the facility, my guess is they used some kind of drug or sleep induced pill? I just remember falling asleep and waking up strapped to a table in a lab room. From there it seemed like every day was the same, strapped to some medical table, hours of tests, limited portion control, and thrown into a cell. As I got older, things changed"

Feeling his throat clench he paused for a second, only to find an iced glass of water pushed in his direction, how it got there was beyond him, but he wasn't complaining.

"It seemed like all those tests were all leading to one thing, they were doctors, scientists, attempting to find a way to give humans animal traits, why? I have no idea. I vaguely recall a conversation about testing the limits, giving people the strength of a bear, speed like a cheetah, heightened instincts like prey. And I guess I was there first subject."

Felix felt a hand brush a tear he didn't know had rolled down his cheek, smiling half heartedly before continuing.

"When I was old enough, or ready for the procedure things didn't turn out how they wanted. I was restrained in some kind of metal contraption, injected with an oddly coloured liquid, woke up a week or so later with these additional features. They ran tests, tried to find the root of what went wrong considering I was only supposed to develop characteristics, not appearance. They lost interest eventually, switching to torture and beatings to take out any anger from the failed experiment. I guess they no longer saw human in me, treating me as nothing but a pet, muzzled, collared, and locked up in that awful basement for god knows how long without a way to track time. I guess the heavens thought I'd taken enough beatings, I woke up to the sound of chaos and gunshots one day, then complete utter silence. I thought I was truly alone, left to rot down there and die, at least that was until these two found me, and now I'm here"

For the first time since speaking felix looked up, after taking notice of the pin drop silence the fell over the room.

Nothing could have prepared him.

Minho was crying, silently shedding tears with his head down. Hyunjin had grasped his hand tighter, using his free arm to completely cover his eyes.

The rest were a mix of shocked, petrified, processing, or simply upset.

"So um.... I get it if you don't want me here, sorry to bring this on all of-"

He was abruptly cut off when hyunjin had removed his arm from his eyes, releasing his hand to instead grab Felix by the shoulder and pull him into a hug.

Said boy paused for a second, soon allowing himself to melt and relax into the hug, head falling in place right in hyunjins neck. It was sad to admit he had received more comfort in the less than two days he's been in this house then he had his entire life.

"Felix..."

Removing his head position, just enough to meet the eyes of the leader Chan himself, who was looking at him with such softness and sincerity.

"Not that you should need to prove yourself, but I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to share that with us. I can wholeheartedly say, speaking on behalf of everyone, that we would never kick you out. Us strays come from dark and not so positive places, so we welcome you with open arms. I think it was meant for us to cross paths the moment these two went on that mission."
