__

Work had ended later then expected, having to stay behind an extra few hours to finalize some tracks he had been working on.

Usually he would spend this studio time working alongside his partner Jisung, and his best friend changbin.

Today however was an off day, Chan had nothing else planned and decided to spend his day off being productive, he could practically hear his boyfriends voice scolding him for working too hard.

Jisung and Chan met each other many years ago; they both auditioned for the same company and stuck by each others side ever since. They had their ups and downs sure, in fact Chan had realized his true feelings early on, it took some time to admit it to the other in fear of ruining the friendship they had.

Jisung was Perfect in his eyes, he shared interests with Chan and was a great listener overall. Chan loved the way he expresses himself and acts silly and goofy with no shame or care for what others had to say. Jisung on the other hand loved Chan since the beginning, he was ironically in the same boat to avoid ruining the friendship and felt over the moon when Chan first asked him out on a proper date.

Chan felt his eyes linger away from the bright monitor, using the tips of his fingers to rub his tired eyes. The clock on the wall struck to the late night hour, he had promised jisung he'd be back before midnight, which meant he was currently running a bit behind on that promise.

Now done with his work for today Chan transitioned into his wrap up time, saving any progress he had made, throwing out the near empty coffee cup, and packing his things to take home. Once in the main lobby of the building Chan signed out and locked the door, now heading towards the attached underground parking garage.

His mind was elsewhere, mindlessly searching for his vehicle and unlocking the car doors. Chan wasn't the type to obsess over his phone all day, after he finally buckled in and started the car chan activated his notifications for the first time since this morning.

-meanwhile-

Jisung had spent the day cooped up at home, he would've liked to spend the time with his boyfriend but Chan seemed set on getting work done, jisung preferred to take the time away from the studio so he could come in to work with a fresh clear mind.

This was a usual occurrence, Chan would head off to get work done, jisung would stay in and wait for him to get home.

His day was relatively unproductive, prepping some food for the upcoming week, finishing a show he had been keeping up with, and even calling his friends for a gaming session.

By now the tv show had long since wrapped up. Jisung was currently waiting in the bedroom for Chan to get home, playing some light music in the background and writing down some song lyrics.

The bed was positioned near a wall with a large window, covered loosely by dark grey curtains, the room lit up by a few dim lights. The thick duvet was pulled up to his chest, back propped up against some pillows to the headboard.

He felt at peace, relaxed, a bit lonely but overall content, feeling his eyes growing heavy.

...

Until the first struck of lightning hit.

Jisung couldn't stop the wince being forced from his body, song lyrics long forgotten as he now stared at the sliver of window peaking through the curtains.
