Summary: seungmin is given a stage outfit he isn't comfortable with, with the inclusion of disrespectful staff and protective band mates
(Not based on real events, this is completely fictional, this is also no hate to seungmin he is literally the most perfect angel ever)
__
Touring and concerts had always been a hectic time; when it came to comebacks, music videos, recordings, rehearsal, and interviews no one could deny the stress that came with this part of their job.
Of course everyone in the group had their way of coping with this stressful time period. Seungmin however was by far the biggest wild card, being the 'quiet' soft spoken member of the group meant no one really knew how he was reacting or what signs to look for.
In all honesty seungmin preferred it that way, he wasn't one for pity, in fact he wasn't the type to initiate or seek emotional comfort, his band mates being the rare but only exception.
Which leads us to now.
The groups schedule had reached peak chaos, with only a week before the first show. Everyone's schedules were jumbled around, Jeongin was working on his vocal lessons, danceracha was in and out of the studio and magazine shoots, 3racha was currently filming an interview about their work on the album.
Which left seungmin, who was the last member needed for costume fitting.
The entire vibe for their upcoming stage was very grunge/hip hop. While most of the members loved costume fittings as it peaked the fashion experts hyunjin and Felix in particular, seungmin would strongly vote against it.
He had opted to get the last fitting, it wasn't a huge insecurity or concern considering he was a fairly easy person to work with, he just didn't care for the process or involvement of his physical appearance.
With a bit of nerves running through his veins seungmin stood anxiously in the centre of the fitting room. They had hired some new staff for this comeback to accommodate the style change, which didn't exactly ease his mind in the slightest.
A few minutes went by before a handful of staff flooded into the room, far more people than he had expected.
One of the female staff in particular walked up to him, without even bowing or greeting him, no even lifting here gaze from the clipboard in hand as she waved a pencil around toward the staff in the room.
"I need measurements on waist, left arm for when the pieces don't fit, we have the outfit on hand, pants may need tailoring or a belt, and someone grab me the fishnet please"
With that she turned on her heel and plopped herself to sit by a desk nearby without meeting his confused gaze once.
His mind instantly raced to a hundred thoughts, mouth opening and closing like a fish.
This was unlike any fitting he had experienced, he had already planned his outfit weeks ago, with the concert approaching he couldn't help but think over what she had said.
He came in expecting to simply try on the same outfit planned out in the sketches, with changes made based on the last session, they'd typically check the final fit of it closer to the show date, note down anything of concern, and have it ready.
With this in mind his brain ran through her comments about re-taking measurements before he even tried on the outfit, as if she was assuming it wouldn't fit, additionally the fishnet? That wasn't something he couldn't remember discussing in the previous meeting.
