What We See Is Not What It Mean

Autumn, a beautiful girl whose nature is like spring, is the only daughter of Carter family.

Usually rich parents tend to spoil their kids and especially the only child is more likely to be spoiled. But Carter Family didn't do that.

James Carter and Lily Carter are the parents of Autumn Carter. They are very particular about their reputation and honour. They always threaten her from doing any disrespectful thing in the name 'question of family's honour'.

From the very childhood she was being told that she will only marry the man they decide. Because of which they prohibit her from dating, clubbing, night outs, or even from making male friends.

Because of her richness she never had real friends, but FAKE FRIENDS. They all used her for her money.

Autumn, despite of all this never stopped smiling. She always used to  have a smile on her face, even on the worst of all days.

And this one, was one of them.

"How many times do I have to tell you Autumn, you are not allowed to be friends with BOYS!" scolds Lily, furious to see her daughter talking to a boy in college.

"But mom he wasn't my friend, he was just asking me about the project. And how many times do I have to tell you NOT TO FOLLOW ME IN THE COLLEGE!! I am an adult now!" Autumn shouts back, being tired of always getting scolded for no reason.

"AUTUMN CARTER!" shouts Lily with anger in her eyes. "Autumn you are not supposed to talk to your mother like that!" scolds James, who himself was very angry seeing a boy with his only daughter.

Unable to speak because of the lump in her throat, she runs upstairs to her room, threw her bag and jumps on her bed and buries her face in her fluffy white pillow letting her stingy tears fall down.

Her room is of Prussian blue colour with a big chandelier on the top and a king size bed with dark blue blanket over it and a bed frame with golden borders, giving a royal feeling.

After crying for almost twenty minutes she sits on her bed, sniffles and goes to her study table.

Her whole study and room is covered with green plants, with beautiful table on which old golden embroideries were embedded.

She opens her diary and starts writing about her day, letting her screaming thoughts spread all over the paper.

"If I showed you my teardrops....Would you collect them like rain,..." she writes her thoughts, her feelings in a form of poem on a piece of paper.

She writes the poem and goes back to sleep without eating anything.

She was used to the behaviour of her parents towards herself, but a hope was still there in heart that they will change. That for once, they will understand her. But everytime she was gifted with sadness and disappointment.
