"Ooooooo, I need to stop at Victoria's Secret too. It's time for some new underwear." Rae had been doing a good job at keeping Vena's thoughts from wandering, which may have been what she'd needed all along.

A good ole distraction.

"Okay wait," Vena took hold of her best friend's arm, pulling her to a stop out front of the door to a store.

Rae's eyes lifted to the sign to read before almost instantly dropping back down to meet Vena's, half lidded and disappointed.

"Hear me out! They probably have matching best friend bracelets like you wantedddd~" Vena pulled the girl firmly, surprised when she allowed herself to be taken into the store, although grumbling out a complaint on the way in.

"I know it's cheesy, but this is a good place to find stuff like that! We can get some simple ones, we don't have to get anything obnoxious."

The two began looking around, Rae loosening up as her eyes scanned the shelves, obviously happy Vena was finally entertaining her idea.

She knew her best friend wasn't huge on showing emotions or being able to express them well, so she didn't honestly expect her to ever agree to it.

"How about these? Simple, and they're our colors! Purple for me and pink for you?" Vena held the small package in front of her face, watching as Rae studied it quietly.

It was definitely simple- just a plain black rope band with a half a heart charm on it, one half pink and the other half purple. They were cut in a way where if held together, they would meet perfectly in the middle like a puzzle piece.

"I like those, actually. Yeah." Rae smiled a genuine one, excited to finally have a little matching thing with her best friend.

Some people may think that stuff is cringe, but Rae loved it, and now she was curious if Vena liked the idea of it too or was just humoring her, but either way, the gesture made her happy.

"Okay! I'll pay then, be right back." Vena turned to pay before Rae's voice caused her to stop, turning her head back to hear.

"It was my idea- let me pay." Rae insisted.

"Nuh uh- you paid for breakfast, I got this." Vena walked off and up to the counter to pay before Rae could argue further.

Rae gave a shake of her head, letting out a small laugh as she reached into her pocket to check her phone while waiting on Vena.

Should I ruin a good day by telling her what Kazuha told me about Childe?

Vena had been pondering it for a while now, thankful it had yet to come up in conversation. Was she just being paranoid again? Was it all coincidence? She was sure there were details she was missing. Maybe it would just cause Rae unnecessary stress or worry, and they were just overthinking it.

Rae had gotten distracted looking at some plushies when Vena had been finishing up her purchase, so now the two had traded turns.

The violet haired girl had been waiting near the store entrance for her best friend, mulling over her thoughts in her head as she did- at least until a figure across the mall caught her attention.

If she didn't know any better, It almost looked as if the person was watching them through the store windows from the other side of the mall. She couldn't tell if the person was male or female considering the distance and clothes the person was wearing also.

They appeared fully clothed, not an inch of skin showing in their attire that simply consisted of blue jeans and a black hoodie, also having the hood up to cover the face and dark glasses concealing majority of their features.
