Chapter 5

Colby had made his team clean out the guest bedroom of his mansion, and to make sure everything was clean before Rebecca moved in. He had his army train for the whole day Thursday, hoping to impress his new trainees. And hopefully to impress...her. He thought as he walked through his headquarters.

He hadn't met his future wife yet, but he didn't want to intimidate her and run her away—the team either. Colby stopped walking when he reached the front doors of the headquarters and saw a few of his team members standing around the lobby. There was no windows in sight—for safety reasons—but he felt as if everyone on the outside could see right in.

Too late to get nervous now. He said as Liv walked over and handed him some papers. "A list of all the new members." She quipped with a smile. "Figured you might want to know their names."

Colby sighed. "Thank you. What time will they be arriving?"

Jonathan strolled over next to him. "Who cares man? I'll stand here all day." He then smirked. "Excited about your babe?"

Colby pinched Jons side. "Shut it."

He paused when he heard a door slam, and peered over his shoulder. "Mornin folks." Agent "Viper", as everyone called him, said as he walked over to the others. "Where's the new guys at?"

"Clearly not here." A woman— who Colby didn't even realize was down there the whole time—said sweeping her hair over her shoulder.

Randy furrowed his eyebrows. "What's up with you grouchy Smurf?"

The woman—Mercedes—scoffed. "Grouchy Smurf?! Really, Orton?"

Jonathan clapped his hands together and laughed. Liv let out a small chuckle while Joseph just smiled. "Guys, knock it off."

Randy turned his head towards his leader and cocked his head. "Nervous about your new fiancée?"

They all chuckled, while Colby just stared down at his feet and stuffed his hands in his pockets. Jonathan clapped him on the shoulder. "Come on, man. You know we're just joking."

Colby pressed his lips together. "Okay, the jokes are funny, but you all need to take this seriously. This...woman who I don't even know is going to be my partner—inside and outside of work. We're combing our teams which means you guys have new people to work with as well. Take it serious and stop with the childish games."

Mercedes crossed her arms and glanced at Randy, who turned his head back to the front doors. Jonathan backed off of Colby as well, and went to stand by Joseph and Liv.

They stood around for at least another twenty minutes, before they heard a helicopter land out front. They tensed up as they watched the security cameras show people jumping off. "Open the doors!" Joseph called out to their security team.

The doors opened, and as much as he hated to admit it, Colby's heart was racing. Their team stood in a line beside of Colby, and watched as their new team members walked in confidently. Two men, three women, and—holy sh—"Welcome to Lopez Enterprise!" Liv said with glee.

The woman who he would be marrying was the one who left him standing alone in a club a year ago. Oh how the tables have turned. Rebecca's team—I even remember her name, how could I ever forget it?—stood across from them and took in their new surroundings. "Yes, welcome to your new team." Colby beamed. "If you don't know already, I am Colby, Agent Lopez, and I am your CEO and Commander of this empire." He met the eyes of his future wife. "We're thrilled to finally meet you guys."

A tall muscular one with his hair tied back scoffed. "Likewise, mate."

Rebecca swallowed and took a step forward. "Thank you for the nice welcome." She pointed towards her left. "These two men are Cody, Agent Rhodes, and Drew, Agent Mcintyre." She then pointed towards her right. "These three women are Pamela, Agent Pogo, Ashley, Agent Flair, and Bianca, Agent EST.

Jonathan laughed, making all eyes turn towards him. "Agent Pogo? As in a pogo stick?"

Pamela smiled. "And what's your title? Let me guess, Agent Lunatic?"

Jonathan froze, and Randy covered up a laugh. "That's exactly what it is. Because I'm—"

"Jonathan Moxley? Yeah we know...." Pamela said glancing at Ashley.

Rebecca cleared her throat, and glanced down at her shoes nervously. Colby sighed. "You guys should know these three, Joseph, Agent Anoai, Liv, Agent Morgan, and Jonathan, Agent Lunatic. These two," Colby said pointing towards his right, "are Randy, Agent Viper, and Mercedes, Agent Boss."

The teams shook hands with each other, and once they were done, they lined up awkwardly. "Team, you guys want to show our new friends around?"

Mercedes nodded. "We'll be glad to."

Liv smiled. "Follow us!" She beamed turning around and walking towards the elevators to the upstair bedrooms. Rebecca stayed back, and looked around nervously. She's even more beautiful than the day I met her...

"Uhm, I know this is—uh—awkward, but I'm willing to work with you to try and...make this marriage seem real." She said fidgeting with her fingers.

Colby straightened, and fixed his tie, hoping she couldn't hear how fast his heart was beating. "It's not awkward unless we make it awkward." He said with a slight smile. "I didn't realize you were Adams daughter."

Rebecca scoffed. "Yeah, that's me." She made eye contact with him and stuffed her hands in her back pockets. "Im not as scary as him though." She added with a chuckle.

Colby smiled and motioned for her to follow him. "You're definitely way prettier than your father."
Rebecca laughed and followed him through the first floor of the headquarters.

No words were spoken again as he showed her around. The big training room, the locker rooms, the gym, the bathrooms, the meeting rooms, and Rebecca's favorite part, the cafeteria. "This place is...huge."

Colby nodded with pride. "Biggest headquarters around." He then glanced at his watch. "You ready to tour your new home?"
