Colby sped off after making sure Liv knew where the other car was for her and Jonathan, and the race back to their home had begun. Rebecca swallowed and looked straight ahead, afraid someone would just magically pop up in front of them and kill them."What did you think of the mission?" Colby asked raising his voice over the roar of the engine.
Rebecca blinked a few times. "First off, you need to concentrate on the road!"
Colby laughed. "What road?! It's all sand, Quin!"
Rebecca turned her head at him. "You're crazy! We were in and out and barely had enough time to even do anything! It felt so rushed!"
Colby removed one hand from the wheel and exclaimed with his hand. "That's how it was supposed to be! Leave a quick message, and get out of there safely!"
Rebecca's eyes went wide and she pushed his hand back on the wheel. "Geez, try not to get us killed will ya?"
Colby turned towards her, and removed both hands taunting her. "I'm not trying anything!"
Rebecca's face was splattered with worry. "If you don't put your hands back on the wheel I'm jumping out!"
Colby laughed again, and put a hand back. "I'd like to see you try. We're going 98 right now, I doubt you'll survive."
The engine roared even louder, and Rebecca's chest was pounding so loud, she was certain Colby could hear it. She brought a hand up to the handle hanging from the roof of the car, and turned her head towards the window.
Everything went past them in a blur. The trees, the sand, the helicopter their team was leaving on, and...Oh, no.
Rebecca rolled down the window and stuck her head out to see a huge tank, with guns sticking out of the roof aimed at her, following them and followed by three other cars. "Colby!" She exclaimed turning towards him and putting a hand on his arm. "They're following us!"
Two cars came up on both sides of the vehicle. Colby sighed, and pulled out a gun from his belt satchel. Keeping one hand on the wheel, he pointed the gun towards the car on his side, and shot at the passenger window.
They slowed up a bit, but not quick enough for Colby and Rebecca. He sped up the car, making Rebecca brace her hands on the roof of the car. "Hand me your gun!" She exclaimed, hoping he could hear her over all of the thunderous engines.
Colby looked at her like she had three heads. "Are you crazy?! No!"
Rebecca gripped his hand, trying to get the gun. "You can't shoot and drive at the same time! Hand me the gun! I'll shoot while you drive us out and away from here!"
Colby reluctantly let go of the gun, and put both hands on the wheel while Rebecca loaded the pistol. She shot out of her side of the window first, aiming for the car next to her. She shot their windows through, and hit the driver, causing them to swerve the car and roll three times away from them.
She then shot the windshield of the gray tank, but they shot their car instead. She ducked back into the seat breathing heavily. "There's a bigger gun in the back seat!" Colby said examining her, making sure she wasn't shot. "Use it instead! It's faster too!"
Rebecca placed the pistol in her belt satchel and reached behind her to grab the big gun, hoping they wouldn't shoot her from the back windshield. She grabbed it and brought it to her lap making sure it was loaded.
When the tank stopped shooting her side of the car, she leaned out the window again and aimed right for the front windshield. Glass shattering, Rebecca shot towards their top engine and it exploded.
Colby fist pumped the air while wearing a proud smirk on his face. Rebecca moved from her side of the car and was trying to figure out how to get to the other side of the car to block Colby from getting shot.
Not giving him any warning, she crawled over the middle console and into his lap. "My god, Rebecca." He said trying to keep ahold of the wheel. She straightened up and straddled him leaning out of the car window to shoot the car beside them on Colby's side.
The other car came up and hit the other side of the car, making Colby's driving waddle. He kept one hand on the wheel and then placed one on Rebecca's thigh to keep her from flying out of the vehicle.
Rebecca shot again at the car on Colby's side, but the other car rammed into their car again, making her miss. "Colby I can't do anything." She said raising her voice.
Colby sped up, and gripped her thigh harder. "I've got you, Quin. Just shoot, I'll keep you steady."
The other car rammed into them again, until Rebecca heard gunshots from her side of the car, where Jonathan and Liv had arrived in another vehicle. Liv drove while Jonathan shot the car down, and eventually they stopped.
Liv slowed down and circled around them to go to the other side, and she cornered the last car. Rebecca moved her arms up again, and shot the passenger while Jonathan shot the driver, and eventually all you could see was smoke and sand filling the air.
Rebecca sighed a shaky breath of relief, and slouched back, but remembered Colby was driving. He moved his hand that was on her thigh to her lower back to keep her from hitting the wheel. He turned his attention towards Liv. "Nice work, Agent Morgan!" He said over the engine.
Liv gave him a cute smirk, and motioned for Jonathan to sit back down. "Of course boss. We'll meet you back at headquarters!" She said happily.
Rebecca closed her eyes as Colby turned back to her. "As much as I'm loving you in my lap right now, I can't see."
Rebecca shoved his chest and crawled back to her seat, but not without Colby smirking at her the whole time. "Oh, grow up!" She said pushing her bangs out of her face.
He smiled. "That was some awesome work, Rebecca."
She just smiled and dropped the gun back into the back seat. "Thanks, Lopez. Now take us home."
