This part of land had to be the biggest Rebecca had ever laid eyes on. Not only was their headquarters twice the size of her old one, but his mansion was beautiful. Two floors, but Rebecca had never been in so many rooms before.

Colby had, of course, showed her the downstairs first. As soon as you walked in the mansion, you were standing in his big foyer. A black rug with gold trim met you there as well. When you walked through the foyer you entered the really large, connected living room and kitchen and a dining room was connected to the kitchen.

Colby had just shown her the weapon room further on down the hall before stopping in the kitchen where a beautiful elder woman stood. "Rebecca, this is my maid, Dorthy, also my grandmother."

Holy. "Hello, ma'am. It's so nice to meet you." She said shaking the woman's hand.

Dorthy smiled. "Oh, it's so nice to meet you!" She said happily. "When I heard my Colby was getting married, I never thought it would be to a woman as beautiful as you!"

Rebecca blushed, and pulled her hand away smiling. "You're the sweetest."

She then continued talking, and was about to tell Rebecca a story about Colby, when he interjected. "Grams, I've got to finish showing her around, okay?"

She laughed and poked him in the ribs. "Alright alright. Have at it."

Colby sighed and didn't say another word as he motioned for Rebecca to follow him upstairs. Rebecca took in the white stair case with black railing going up on both sides. She then took in the view of the second floor.

"Up here are the bed and bathrooms and my office." He said gesturing around him. He pointed down a long hallway. "The first door on the left here is a bathroom." He walked further on down. "These two big doors lead to a library. You're welcome to go in there at any time." He then walked further down and stopped in front of what Rebecca guessed was a bedroom. "My mother will be leaving town for a project she's working on. So my father will be staying here with us. This is his room." He said quietly.

Rebecca's heart squeezed. Deep down, she knew what a monster Colby was painted out to be, but this...knowing his father was fighting for his life in a hallway across from her? I feel...terrible for him. His father isn't but 50 years old... "How is he doing?" Rebecca asked stepping closer to Colby.

Colby shrugged and tightened his jacket. "Not great, but not terrible. Grams has been helping take care of him when I'm not here." He then turned on his heels and took her down another hallway. "He would've been doing better if the Supreme Leader of Canada hadn't have shot him."

Rebecca blinked and followed him closely. "I didn't know that's how he got hurt...I just thought it was...old age."

Colby laughed. "There's no such thing as old age in the Lopez family."

He stopped in front of two black doors. "This is your room." He opened the doors and stepped aside to let her in first.

Rebecca took in her surroundings. A beautiful black designer rug was the first to catch her eye, as it was plastered in the middle of the room. A large queen size bed with ivory covered sheets was in the middle, with a tv and desk across from it. As she walked further into the room she saw the big walk in closet just calling her name. Woah. "You can change anything in here. We just cleaned it up for you."

Colby walked in a second later, and went to the dresser next to her bed. There was a small black velvet box sitting there. "Here's the ring you're going to wear. If you don't like it, well, too bad, because it was a lot of money."

Rebecca rolled her eyes and walked over to where he was standing. She pulled out the ring and examined it. It was wrapped in a gold band, with a sparkling diamond plastered in the middle. "Its...beautiful." Rebecca said putting it on her finger.

Colby cleared his throat. "Make sure to wear it when we're at headquarters and at public events. People need to believe we're actually...partners."

Rebecca nodded and looked at the ring again before putting her arms down at her side. "Seems easy enough—"

"You also need to wear this." He said pulling out a necklace.

"Wait what—"

"Let me put it on you." He said turning her around. Rebecca hesitatingly moved her hair over her shoulder.

She furrowed her eyebrows and tried not to react when his hands gently touched her neck. "What's this for, exactly? Because I'm really confused about...all of this."

Colby clipped the necklace together, and wanted so badly to grab her neck and— he stepped back. "There's nothing to be confused about. From this point on, you are mine."

Rebecca's face turned with disgust. "Im NOT yours! Im not some trophy you just won because you're commander now!" Rebecca turned around with her finger pointed at him. "Im—"

Colby caught her hand and held it firmly. "I signed a contract to marry and protect you, so yeah, you're mine now. That necklace you're wearing is a tracking device. That way, I'll know where you are at all times." He then swallowed and released her hand gently. "And it has a touch sensor on it. If you ever get into trouble and need me, you press it quickly three times. It will send an alert to my watch."

Ugh. Why is he being so protective! Rebecca sighed.

Colby then clapped his hands together. "Great! My bedroom is the one across the hall, if you ever need something."

"Doubt I will." Rebecca replied smoothly.

Colby scoffed and slowly nodded. "Anyways, meet me in the training room tomorrow morning at 8:00 am. Don't be late. And wear your suit." He checked the time as he walked to the door. "Have a good night, Rebecca."

He shut the door on his way out and Rebecca stared at where he had been standing. She looked around her room, and deep down, she started feeling guilty for having that nice of a bedroom. But she ignored every intrusive thought. She ignored every warning. She brushed her fingers through her hair, and walked over to the bed that was calling her name.
