"So....when do I get to meet your friend?" I ask, the next day.
Jennie smiles and shrugs. "She's off touring the world. She should be back soon I'm guessing. She didn't call me."
I sigh and fall into a chair. "She's the only person I haven't met."
Jennie looks up from something she's signing and smirks. "I thought you said my brother was the only person you didn't talk to."
"Yes. But that was before I realized you have a lovely best friend I haven't met," I reply back.
We're still in her bedroom. She told me that some of the kids at the hospital wanted her autograph so the nurse sent them over. Her smile was so big and she looked so excited when she was telling me.
I honestly like the version of her that's excited to make little kids happy than the femme fatale version she puts on for the public. She's much more beautiful when she looks genuinely happy for something.
"So the event is tonight?" I ask her.
She looks up with that same smile stuck on her face. "Yup! I bought something for you yesterday! And it's officially our one week anniversary."
I blink quickly. "It's really been one week?"
I'm so shocked.
Normally in Korea, the days take long and the hours stretch. I dread each day I wake up. But here, I wake up with a purpose. I know what I'm doing. I have freedom to go out and just take some time for myself a reflect.
Jisoo always told me reflection in the job we did was important. She does it every night still because it's a good habit. I was always rebellious and didn't see the point. But after what happened with Jihye..... I had so many thoughts swirling in my head that I needed some time to think. And while I hated what Jihye did.... I like that I'm a different person.
"What are you thinking about?" Jennie asks me.
I shake my head. "Random stuff about my job back in Korea."
Rosé nods, completely impressed. "Nice! So why did you come here for vacation? Australia is known for vacations but it isn't well known."
"My friends booked me a one way flight here against my will," I say casually and she laughs.
"I should say thank you to your friends. I was thinking you were a god send until now," she says.
"Yeah. I'm a 'friend-send'," I say and chuckle.
She snickers and goes back to signing.
I cross my arms and stare at her.
I like talking to Jennie. Which is weird. I'm not a big talking type of person. I only really talk to Lisa and Rosie....and I used to with Jihye.
With Jennie, it's easier to talk. All of our conversations have been light and yeah we argued a couple times but both of us don't seem to hold a grudge against the other.
We get along nicely....
And that makes me afraid.

"I'm a big girl," I tell her. "I can dress myself."
Jennie has been helping me get ready for the past hour and she hasn't even gotten ready yet.
She doesn't respond and continues to touch up my make up.
"Jennie. I think you're over—"
"Done!" She says with a smile and turns me to the mirror.
