Tessa POV
(Unedited)I am so stupid! Agreeing to date Joey Henderson for the rest of the holiday?! I mean, I just practically made a deal with the devil himself.
I am not planning on being like those cliche stories where the girl is going to fall for the player and blah blah! All I need to do is to remain focus on the main goal, which is surviving. Surviving the rest of the holiday with an obnoxious teenage boy who is constantly trying to seduce me. Trust me, it is more difficult than it sounds, did you know how many times I slapped his lips with my hand? It is like taming a lion to be a vegetarian; Impossible. Eventually I just came to the point where I shoved him out the dorm and slammed the door in his well-structured face.
I climbed into the warm shower and let the warm water engulf me. I grabbed my pomegranate shampoo and begin to scrub my scalp. I couldn't seem to get the thought of what Joey planned for the 'date'. Was he even romantic when it came to dates? I remember he told me that he was but I fail to believe that. Joey romantic? Ha! Then pigs could fly.
After I was done showering, I climbed out and wrapped the towel tightly around my body and made my way to the mirror.
"You can do this Tessa...It is just a date" I motivated as I stared at my reflection. "Just a simple...casual date.."
"...With Joey...." I added and felt all the enthusiasm leave my body. This was not a good idea, in fact, it was outright bogus!
I inhaled deeply and put on a reassuring smile to the mirror. I walked to my suitcase and flipped it open, I scrambled all the clothes in attempt to find something at least decent.
I grabbed my denim shorts and a t-shirt along with my converse. It was more casual, I wasn't planning on dressing fancy for him. If he was Channing Tatum, then by all means I would dress like the freakin' Queen for him.
I walked to the mirror and applied a bit of eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss. Once I was finished my hair, I took a few steps back to observe my entire outfit.
Not bad I thought and gave a small nod. The door swung open and crashed against the wall letting out a bang which nearly caused me to jump out of my very own skin.
"Joey! Geesh, you nearly gave me a heart attack" I breathed as I clutched onto my heart that smacked against my chest.
Joey remained quiet and just trailed his eyes over my body causing my cheeks ignite.
"Change." He said.
"Excuse me?" I asked dubiously.
"Your top, change it." He waved his finger to my t-shirt.
"What? Why?" I asked as I looked down and stared at it.
"It's hideous." He gave me a 'duh' look. I couldn't help but let out a dramatic gasp when he said this. How dare he insult my unicorn t-shirt?
"Listen here little-" I began but was interrupted when he threw a top at my face, my hands quickly shot up and caught the top. I unfolded the white off-shoulder shirt and observed it.
"Ahh, Joey, this isn't mine" I walked over and handed it to him but he took a step back whilst shaking his head.
"I know, I uh kinda bought it for you." He gave a casual shrug but failed to hide his blush.
"Oh, thank you" I gave a smile. "Just leave so I can put it on" I danced my new top in my hands. Joey nodded and quickly exited the room.
I slipped my unicorn t-shirt off and put on my new one. Just as I slid on the new one, Joey swung the door open.
