Tessa POV

Michael was here. Oh my goodness gracious have I finally gone crazy? Nuts? Mental? How could Michael be here? The last time I saw him was in Hawaii when I had to ditch the date in order to help Joey. So much had happened since then. Who knew I would have fallen for the player--Joey Henderson of all people?

Okay okay, maybe it was kind of predictable but I honestly didn't plan on falling for him. And now, there stood Michael in front of my class with his ruffled dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes that were just captivating.

What made it worse was when his eyes scanned the class and stopped on me. Michael was staring at me intently and I couldn't help but shrink down in my seat from it. Why does he keep staring at me?

I was having a complete panic attack/ meltdown. My mind was like a swarm of bees whose hive was being provoked by some little kid. The kid being the current situation. My throat had gone dry and I can't help run my tongue along my now cracked lips in order to moisten them.

Michael's lips tilt upwards and I could have sworn he mouthed 'Hello Tessa'

I gulp and quickly divert my eyes to a doodle that had been engraved onto my desk by some stranger.

Principle Lammington had left the class and Mr Bickons polite face seemed to fall right off.

I hate it when the teachers pretend to be nice in front of the principle. They could be just as bad as some of the pretentious people in my school.

"Right, Michael there is an open seat next to Tessa over there." Mr Bickons points to the seat beside me. I glanced to my right and notice that the seat next to me is in fact open.

Great.

Michael walked towards the seat with a smug expression, whispers filled the room as he walked by.

"Oh my gawd! It's Michael!" Some girls gasped while the boys behind me said, "Dude its Michael, what's he doing here?"

I frowned at their statements, considering they just met Michael, how could they say that?

"Hey Tessa." Michael says as he plomps into his seat and drops his backpack.

"H-hey" I reply, my voice coming out hoarse. My fingers begin to tangle and untangle themselves then drum onto the edge of my desk.

"How have you been?" He asks, turning his body to me to give his undivided attention. Girls scowl at me for talking to their new piece of meat. Mr Bickons had already turned his back to the board and continued with his lesson.

"Good. Goodie. Happy as a duck." I give a small smile but can't help but feel like a nervous wreck ball.

Michael's smile widens then ruffles his beach boy hair. "Happy as a duck, eh?"

My cheeks turn crimson when I realize actually how ridiculous I must've sounded when he repeated it back to me.

"Sorry that sounded better in my head." I groan shoving my face into my hands, in hopes it covers my embarrassment.

"Nah, I think it was cute. You quack me up Tessa." Michael winks suggestively. I burst into a fit of giggles at Michael's lame pun. Michael seems satisfied with my reaction and joins in too.
