Tess POV

Joey seemed to be very woozy after we had left the cue to the popcorn (minus the popcorn and snacks by the way) and was just as bad when we sat down in our seats.

There is nothing more distracting than a boy sitting beside you in the movie house, looking like he has the jitters or a really bad nervous tick.

I myself haven't paid any attention to the movie so far even though I see bombs and blood, I have no idea what the hell is going on because somehow my eyes and mind would drift to the anxious boy sitting right next to me.

Is he thinking about her right now?

Is he regretting taking me out?

Is he even watching the movie?

Is he still in love with her?

Whoa. Okay... Let's not think about that.

Joey's feet continued to tap rapidly on the floor and his fingers continued to drum on his thighs in a fast paced tempo. His lips were pulled between his teeth as if he was contemplating something.

When it looked like he had come to a decision, he suddenly walked out the cinema without any notification. My eyes widened as I tried to process his rash action. I quickly scrambled to my feet and ran after Joey.

"Joey! Wait!" I called.

"Shhhh!" Various people hissed at me.

"Sorry." I mumbled and quickly ran after Joey who was already heading towards the exit to the parking lot.

I pushed the door open, noticing that the roads are glistening from the rain. Joey didn't even seem to notice the drizzle as he took quick strides to his car and yanked the door open and slammed it shut once he was inside. I groaned and cupped my hands above my head as a form of shelter before jogging after him once again.

"Joey? Joey! Wait!" I yelled but he didn't seem to hear me. Or just chose not to.

"Joey! What is going on? Where are you going?!" I yelled as I knocked repeatedly on his passenger's window.

He took a side glance, barely acknowledging me, then revved his car engine as if he was about to take off and leave me stranded in the parking lot.

He revved the engine more harshly, making it roar monstrously as if symbolizing his anger.

His car began to move forward and before I know it, I swung the passenger door open and jumped inside.

Joey's eyes mirrored mine at my sudden courage but his face once again returned to a blank expression.

His foot slammed onto the gas, causing the car to jerk away with a screeching sound. My head slammed into my head rest and my hands automatically clamped to the sides of my seat.

"Joey! Stop! What are you doing?! Are you crazy?!" I yelled as we ran through 2 red traffic lights.

As I watched the needle of the speed increase, so did my heart rate.

"Joey! STOP! It is raining! You need to slow down!" I screamed but he continued to scowl at the road ahead of him.

"JOEY!"

His knuckles turned chalky as he tightened the grip onto the steering wheel.

This Joey was scaring the living daylights out of me. I hated it. I hated this Joey. Terrifying. Scary. Anguish.

"Did you know?!" He screamed making me jump.

"Know what?!" I screamed, my voice wavering. I just wanted him to stop the car.
