Dylan's at the Grill and she sees Elena reading the Petrova book when she speeds over to the table and sits down. Elena looks up and is startled when she sees Dylan. Elena says, "What do you want?" Dylan says, "Just wondering if you found anything in that book I gave you." Elena sighs and says, "Nothing yet." Dylan nods and says, "Okay, then I guess I'll see you at Jenna's barbecue." Dylan gets up from the table as Elena looks at Dylan confused and says, "How did you know about Jenna's barbecue?" Dylan says, "It was my idea. Jenna went to high school with Mason Lockwood. So I figured a social gathering would be a good way to get to know the guy. So, I told Ric to tell Jenna, and voila, hence the barbecue." Elena crosses her arms and says, "I know you, Dylan. You're up to something, now what is it?" Dylan says, "I'm gonna put some sliver into Mason Lockwood and prove he's a werewolf. See you at the barbecue." Dylan walks away.
