Never would you have thought that you'd be in a relationship with your rival from high school. But here you are now. You and Jeongin have been dating for two years now. However no one knew about your relationship. You kept it hidden for different reasons.
One being that your families would never accept your relationship. Both of your families hated each other which is why you never liked each other in high school. However, the both of you started to get to know each other better and with that you developed feelings for one another.
You were the first one to confess. Jeongin accepted your feelings and you immediately started dating. But you promised each other to keep it a secret. Since it was a huge secret you and Jeongin would make time to see each other in private. You never wanted to be caught together because you didn't know what would happen if anyone in either one of your families finds out. All hell would probably break loose.
Jeongin's friend Seungmin was the only person who knew about your relationship. He found out by mistake by seeing the both of you on a date. So Jeongin admitted to him that you were both dating. Seungmin laughed about it, thinking it wasn't true. He knew in high school how much you hated each other. So he never actually thought you would date.
He quickly realized that Jeongin was serious and was shocked. He promised to never tell anyone and he never did.
Seungmin would even help cover up for the both of you. If you and Jeongin were to be on a date, Seungmin would tell Jeongin's family that he was hanging out with him. But when it came to your family, they honestly didn't care. As long as they never saw you with Jeongin it didn't matter where you were.
Today, you decided to go out with both Jeongin and Seungmin. You went to an amusement park which even if your parents were there, they wouldn't be able to find you since there were big crowds of people there. Afterwards the three of you went to a restaurant that was far away from where you lived. Again, you only went there so you wouldn't get caught.
As you were eating your food you stared outside the window that was right next to the booth you were sitting in. There were cars driving by. There was also a traffic light right outside the restaurant. As you continued to watch cars drive by you spotted a familiar car. Your eyes widened once you saw your father in the car. He exchanged eye contact with you. You gasp but since the traffic has turned green he drove away but he clearly saw you.
Jeongin and Seungmin turned to you, who looked very panicked. Jeongin holds your hand, trying to understand what happened.
"My dad... He just drove by here and he saw me." You say.
"Are you sure it was him?" Seungmin asks. You nod.
"He saw me and... you." You turn to Jeongin.
"It'll be alright. Okay? We can find a way to cover this up, no worries." Jeongin reassures.
"How can we? He's gonna kill us!"
"Um... Guys.. I don't mean to alarm you but both of your parents are in the parking lot." Seungmin says.
"What?!"
You and Jeongin turn your heads to see your parents together in the parking lot making their way into the restaurant. You jumped out of the booth but at the same time a waitress was carrying a tray of food and you bumped right into her causing all the food to spill on you. You fell to the ground and Jeongin got out of the booth and went down to you.
"Y/n!" Jeongin says, alarmed.
You look up to see both of your parents staring at the both of you. You close your eyes looking down ready for them to walk over to you. You open them up when you hear footsteps walking towards you. You look up to see your parents staring at you. They don't look angry. They look more worried.
"Mom. Dad. I can explain-" You get cut off by your mom.
"Y/n, dear, are you okay? I'm sorry, did we startle you?"
"No, I-I just... Why are you here with Jeongin's parents?"
Your mom sighs, staring back at Jeongin's parents. She looks back at you and helps you off the floor with Jeongin's help. Jeongin keeps you close to him.
"Your father and I came here with his parents to talk things out. We wanted for the both of you to be friends and not hate each other."
"I think you're a little late for that..." Jeongin whispers.
Jeongin's parents step forward and take over, talking.
"When you two were babies you were best friends." His moms says and you and Jeongin are left shocked.
"You were inseparable. Until one day you pushed our son down the stairs. We got into an argument with your parents because they didn't believe you'd do something like that. After that we refused Jeongin to see you." His dad says.
"Your mother and I refused to apologize because we really didn't think you were capable of doing something like that. Especially to Jeongin. However, that led to us telling you both things that weren't true about each other. We were the reason why you hated each other. And we're sorry." Your dad jumps in.
You turn to look at Jeongin. He was already looking at you. You didn't know what to say. You couldn't believe all of this.
"I'm sorry for pushing you down the stairs when we were little." You manage to let out a little laugh. Jeongin smiles at you.
"I fell that day because of you, but I fell for you now." Jeongin chuckles.
"As long as you two are happy, we are happy. We just want everything from the past to be put to the side. And for you two to no longer hate each other." Your dad adds.
"How long have you two been together, then?" His mom asks. You and Jeongin awkwardly laugh before looking at them.
"They've been dating for two years." Seungmin intervenes.
"Seungmin!" You and Jeongin speak at the same time.
