((Dimension 1-T//Year 2017))

After Shredder was defeated and New York City was saved from being victim to a chemical attack, everyone thought that all those dastardly plans of destroying the city had been put to an end.

And technically they had.

But then came the much-more-evil plans of destroying the entire world, and the short lived relief that people felt was quickly forgotten as an alien warship assembled itself piece by piece in the sky.

The feeling of normalcy evaporated as panic spread, the sudden appearance of the bubblegum looking galactic warlord making everyone fear that the end had come.

The four heroes who had saved the millions of lives in New York the first time around found themselves at a loss. How were they gonna pull this one off?

It was already hard enough having to avoid the many watchful eyes around the city, to avoid being discovered. And now the only way to stop this crazy alien from annihilating their home was to get to his ship and fight him in broad daylight.

Easy to say the odds weren't in their favor.

Thankfully they made some friends along the way who were able to talk some sense into a few good people, who wanted to save their beloved city just as much. And having the support of the police was all they had needed to get to that floating death machine.

But whether things had gone smoothly then or not, the real problems started when the battle itself did.

It had been absolutely brutal, and though they could all easily play it off, as they were used to having to, it had left a permanent scar on each of the brothers. The memory of being so close to losing it all almost always fresh in their mind.

For awhile.

Over the next year, as things calmed down and it became less and less likely of something like that happening again, they were eventually able to move on with their lives and accept that maybe the biggest portion of evil that would come at them had been defeated already.

Maybe they were actually safe now. Safe to figure out other things to do with their lives besides waiting all day for their nightly patrols to come around.

Or.... most of them thought so.....

"Ha! I knew it!"

The sudden shout of excitement rang out in the lair as a desk chair went rolling across the floor of the cluttered lab, slamming into the far wall and making all eyes turn towards the room, just as a certain purple wearing genius strutted out.

Eyes fixed on the hologram projected by the device on his wrist, his feet carried him to where he needed to go with almost no visual assistance, due to walking through this place for most of his eighteen year old life.

"Leo!"

Said leader of their little group was already watching him, eyebrow raised at what had his brother in such a hurry.

Donnie's eyes snapped up briefly, just to make sure he had the blue banded turtles attention as he came to stand in front of him.

"Leo, you've gotta see this!"

The hologram that the turtle had been staring at suddenly grew double it's size, making it visible to both the brothers, and Leo was able to make out what looked to be a map.

There was some sort of list floating beside it, showing pictures of odd looking pieces of jewelry and artifacts along with their descriptions.

Leo was able to read a few lines on one of the artifacts, which said something about supposedly being left from an alien attack in Egypt some thousand years ago, and he sighed.
