Sunlight shines out across a golden field, the orange evening rays giving the countryside scenery a magical glow as leaves fall slowly from the trees bordering the large plain.

The few birds still hanging around at the late time of year sing a peaceful melody that adds to the serene setting, giving any person who wandered the rarely used road that ran by the field a sense of peace.

Not far from the old dusty road sat a tall, orange and red leaf coated oak tree, branches swaying slightly from the gentle breeze that passed by, and the sound of laughter floating through the air around it.

Down at the base of the old tree was where the source of the laughter sat, a couple of teenagers lost in the amorous atmosphere surrounding them, along with each other's loving gaze.

The two sat side by side, heads leaning against the tree behind them and facing towards one another, a glazed over look in their eyes from being pure love drunk off of each other.

"I swear! You have the prettiest smile I've ever seen in my life!" The boy laughed, trying to convince the girl beside him that it was the truth, but only getting a playful eye roll in response.

"I very much doubt that... But thanks anyway." She giggled, leaning into the enamored boy to rest her head against his arm, eyes closing as she soaked up the last sun rays that shine down on them, contentment perfectly portrayed on her face.

The boy moved his arm wrap it around her small frame, pulling her closer and allowing her head to rest against his flannel covered chest.

A beat of comfortable silence passed between them, all the world seemingly melting away and leaving them to their special place where nothing mattered but their time together.

"It's so peaceful here." The girl whispered softly, snuggling further into the boy's chest and reaching an arm over him to intertwine their fingers.

His thumb absently brushed over her knuckles as his eyes wandered the golden colored wonderland that they spent most of their time together in.

"Yeah." He smiled. "I don't how we got lucky enough to find a good spot where no one else goes." He shook his head with a chuckle at how unreal it felt, suddenly more grateful than ever for happening upon this place when he had.

"You mean, you found it." She laughed, lifting her head to look into his eyes, a twinkle in her own as they once again got lost in each other's gaze.

The feeling of pure bliss that surrounded them seemed to push them closer, ever so slowly, the distance between the two love struck teens becoming smaller and smaller, their eyes closing on instinct.

And just as their lips were about to connect... They heard it.

A rumbling sound coming from somewhere down the road, but not revealing it's source as the path curved to the side and was covered by thick grown plants and trees. The two were now separated, eyes trained towards the sound, that grew louder by the second as it approached, the once perfect air of the place shattered by the disturbance.

"Is that a car?" The girl questioned, not at all expecting anyone to be driving this road.

The boy nodded at her question, opening his mouth to answer, but having no time as he watched a sleek black car come flying around the curve at a more than hazardous speed, only seeming to get faster as it barreled down the road in their direction.

The boy recognized the car too late, and they had no time to move back before it sped past the couple, kicking up a huge cloud of dust right into their direction and continuing on its way.
