Part 26

Maria's pov

I cried in his arms for exactly 40 minutes, non-stop. He held me and held all my tears.

As soon as I calmed down, I regulated my breathing. Without even noticing that he and I were sitting on the bed, I didn't even notice how he brought me there and we sat down.

I looked at him, his eyes were full of infinite sadness. With compassion and care. He was waiting for me to talk to him, he didn't want to force me.

"My mother heard Matt... I thought I was going to tell her, but she heard so that I couldn't even explain and she's furious, I don't know what to do, how to act" I said quickly, I just swallowed all the words in one breath, I was so afraid to face this fact. His face, he was outraged. "But how she know Maria?" how did she know if you  didn't  tell? who told her?" he asked me surprised, he did not know  anything about Laila. I don't tell him.

"Layla is my cousin... she's at Hogwarts too, I'm sorry I know I should have told you" I said and bent my head I was angry, I felt his fingers below my jaw as he lifted my head to look me in the eyes. "Don't worry love everything is ok? Don't worry, go and talk to your mother and explain everything to her, I'm sure she will understand."

"I know she will understand me, but she is very angry, it would be good if she could hear from me, I have hurt her heart too many times and now I have disappointed her too..." I said, I feel tears rolling down my cheeks, he hugs me again and puts his hand on my head.

"You didn't disappoint her, Maria, don't say that, you know she loves you very much, I'm sure that she wrote everything when she was not thinking and was anger"

"But she wrote that I disappointed her..." I blurted out. "I'm a bad daughter Matt and always have been, always will be, she doesn't deserve this she doesn't deserve such a bad daughter you know..." I said and sobbed harder. 

"Maria, it's not all like that, and you know that very well. You are not like that, and your mother loves you soo much, you have been through a lot. You just need to talk with her" "she told me to come back home on these holidays and see her, I'm afraid she won't let me came back. she thinks you're bad, she thinks you're dangerous, but you're not, and I love you."

 "I'll follow you okay? Let's talk together. I won't let you go alone. Listen, Maria, don't be afraid, I know that you think something catastrophic will happen, you're thinking about the bad, but believe me, she's just angry, you'll talk and that's it." "she understands me, she understands me always, and I still don't stop disappoint her... I always treated her badly, as if I took my anger out on her by talking rudely like my father-"

 "Don't compare yourself to him, maybe you made a mistake, but I know who you are and your mother also knows, we will go on these holidays and see her" he said, wiping the tears from my cheeks and kissing my cheeks. 

"Damn we have classes" I said apologetically, I already missed a lot. "Calm down princess, you're not going anywhere, you need to rest. I'll go and get you something. you Skip lunch." I will also tell the others that everything is fine, they where  nervous." He got up and went to the door. " you missed your classes Matt too you don't have to do that " I said and he laughed. "Maria, you know very well that i don't care about classes. Put on a movie and I'll be back soon."
