Y/N's POV
Sitting in my car, disbelief washed over me as I clutched Joey Fucking Jordison's number. Did I mess up by calling him a cutie? Was that too forward? My mind raced with uncertainties as I glanced at the clock—it was already 6:34 p.m. Shit. I needed to get to the venue.
I started my car driving to the venue where they were playing. Traffic was crazy, having to use my horn multiple times. I finally made it, trying my best to find parking. As I got out of my car the excitement overtook me.
As I got to the front I saw the security guard who was checking tickets. I handed him the VIP ticket Joey gave me. He seemed a little dumbfounded.
"Do you know the members personally?" He inquired.
"Not really," I replied. "I met Joey at the signing, and he gave me this ticket." The guard's expression shifted to understanding.
"I see," he said. "VIP tickets are usually reserved for family and friends of the band. You must have made quite an impression."
A rush of glee washed over me, cheeks flushed with excitement.
"Have a great time at the concert," the security guard said.
"Thank you," I replied, stepping into the venue. Inside, there were two sections—one for VIP access and another for standard ticket holders. Making my way to the VIP area, I noticed it was front row. Could this night get any better?
As the venue filled up, I headed to the bar to calm my nerves. Drink in hand, I made my way to the VIP section, reveling in the anticipation of the show.
People started to pile in making me somewhat squished. The intro of Purity started to play, then the lights started to turn on. That's when I saw all the band members but my eyes were locked in on Joey. He looked so beautiful as he played the drums. Even though he had a fucked up hand he played effortlessly. Next up was (sic). Chris was closest to me as he looked over to our section. He abruptly left the stage but before he could fully make it we saw the god awful puke.
Due to this incident, Joey looked over locking eyes with me. Was I imagining this? He slightly waved then getting right back to playing the drums. The night was awesome. I can't even put into words how it was to see them live. All I knew is I wanted more.
When the band finished their set the lights went down as Corey thanked everyone for coming. Another security personal came over and instructed the VIP members to follow him backstage. I started to get really nervous. Would I see Joey again?
Minutes later, the band emerged, and my heart skipped a beat as Joey made a beeline for me. His hug was warm and comforting, and I found myself melting into it, savoring every moment. As we pulled back, he inquired, "How was the show?"
"Fucking amazing" I said slurring my words.
"I see you got some drinks from the bar" He laughed.
"Maybe" I said shyly.
He grabbed my hand and started to drag me away from the crowd of people. He took me to the stage showing me his drum kit. He started telling me all the technical parts and details of the drums but I was too drunk to understand. I found it cute he cared so much about his craft.
