Chapter 11: Intuitive Powers

Shadow stayed in the forest for a while. In the distance, his eyes had caught a rabbit playing with another. He watched, adoring the cute creatures that hopped and jumped, crossing each other innocently. The green leaves of the trees covered the bright sky, although that left an interesting shading pattern on Shadow. Even then, he could feel the warm sunlight on his arms and legs. A smile slowly formed, while the rabbits found Shadow and approached him curiously. With his left hand, he petted the white rabbit, but the other gray colored one simply watched. The two of them seemed so reminiscent of his own journeys with Sonic. His eyelids could not help, but lower down, and down. Without an warning, a slumber had taken over him.

About 3 hours or so, his phone started ringing rather annoyingly. 

Shadow groaned at the sound of it and checked the time on its screen.

"Oh, it's 9:34 A.M." he pointed out.

Under the time, there was a text notification from Amy Rose. He tapped on it, and started reading.

-Shadowww! Are you good today?? You haven't texted the whole day!

-It's been a long day..

-That's okay! Well, do you think maybe you can come over today 👉👈, it's okay if you can't 😊

-I've been planning to ask you that. I'm omw.

The black hedgehog stood up from the ground and gathered his green jewel. A bright light sparked, and warped him quite easily, right outside Amy's house in Green Hill. Her house, compared to a human, was much smaller and bright-looking. Shadow knocked on the green wooden door. However, the one opening the door was no other than Cream the rabbit, a ten year old girl. 

"Oh, hi Mr. Shadow! I haven't seen you in a LONG WHILE!"

"Chao, chao!" her close friend, Cheese, responded behind her as it flew around.

Shadow sighed, feeling flustered. He never knew how to react with little innocent kids like her. 

"Is Amy Rose at home?"

"Yes!!! She made delicious breakfast for you and me! Please come and eat! Let's have some nice tea together! YAYY"

She suddenly held his hand and forced him to enter abruptly, leading him to Amy's kitchen, which was adorned with orange and pink walls. A wooden table with red checkered tablecloth laid on top, prepared with plates of American breakfast, including pancakes, eggs, bacon, muffins, hash browns, empty tea cups and a cute porcelain teapot ready for use.

Amy Rose turned around, happy to see her best friend.

"Oh Shadow, come join us! I am still making more food for the neighbors and for Cream's mom. Did you know that Vector is trying to take her on a date right now? His ways of flirting are so obvious! Hahahaha!"

"Heh.." he awkwardly laughed while Cream pulled the chair for him to sit. 

"So, how is your day, Mr. Shadow!? Tell me all about it." The bunny's face beamed with excitement. 

The ultimate lifeform remembered Sonic's confession and apology. He blushed although not so evidently. He did stutter upon speaking.

"I—I had a quite pleasant day. Um, Sonic and I were able to save the chao. She's currently with him right now. Heh.."—he laughed lowly—"I also saw some small rabbits, and they looked so much like you." 

Cream's eyes shined like diamonds. "Oh REALLY??" Her voice squeaked, almost piercing Shadow's ears.

"I'M SO HAPPY YOU SAW THEM AND THOUGHT ABOUT ME! Mr. Shadow, if I ever own a hedgehog, I'm going to call it after you!"
