I park my car in the school parking lot when I look in the mirror as I adjust to see my hair when I see Avery walk by. She throws what seems to be a cup that was finished into the garbage and then walks into the school building. I grab my bag and get out of the car and slammed the door as I pressed the lock button my keys and ran towards Avery. "Good morning, little muffin." I said greeting her with a warming smile. She smiled back which made her blush almost as red as her hair. "Good morning, Luke." She said sweetly while she stopped at her locker and placed her combination in. "Same combination, I see. 19,9, 12. The day we-" I said when she cut me off, "The day we got together, yeah Luke. I remember." She said as she started placing books in her locker. "Ah ha, yeah. So, which class do you have now?" I asked while placing my hands in my pocket. "Well, I have to stop by Mr. Davis' class, I have this essay I need to give him and then I have French." She replied. "Ah, French the language of love." I replied as she slammed her locker and held a paper in her hand. She smiled, "Sure, I guess you can say that." She said and started giggling. "I miss making you smile, Av." I said as she stopped laughing for the moment. "Luke, I-" she said when I interrupted her, "I can't stop thinking about you Avery! I love you." I shrieked. Her eyes looked stunned. "You always make me seem like the bad guy, but I'm not." I said aggressively. "Yeah, but you were the guy who raped me." She replied this time back more aggressive and started walking away.

But it wasn't like that.

"Avery, I like you." I said softly as I looked at her. That day we were at the homecoming dance, she thought it would be nice if we went as friends since everyone else had dates. She turned back and looked at me, she stayed quiet for a minute and looked down, "I guess it's time to tell you that I like you too, then." She replied. We both took a step closer to each other about to kiss when she nervously turned away. "I won't hurt you, Avery." I whispered as she turned back to look at me. I slowly placed my had on her face as she breathed heavily. She was scared, I could tell. I leaned in and held her by her waist and kissed her. After that, we started dating. It went from dates at In-N-Out Burger, from days she would cry about her father, and on Valentine's Day when I would buy her flowers. I was there for it all, the heart breaks, her worst days, and the days were she would get bullied. I would defend her, I remember getting beaten up that day for fighting with this guy who would make fun of her constantly and try to rape her. Then the day we broke up, I remember it. It was the worst day of my life. I remember Skylar telling me about this guy that had a thing for Avery, Jake was his name. He had blonde hair and blue eyes that made him sound irresistible. "She's cheating on you, Luke." She said softly. I always thought Skylar was jealous of us, she would make fun of us but it never caught on. "I don't believe you." I replied. "Believe the text messages, she sent me." She replied as she gave me her phone. My anger grew, full of hate and despair. "What are you going to do?" Skylar asked, "I figure something out. I'll talk to you later." I replied walking away heading to class. After school it was raining and I was suppose to walk Avery home, I remember kissing her in the rain and how we started running towards her house. We got to her house and started our homework when I looked her in the eye, she stopped working on her math problem and smiled, "What?" She asked. I leaned over and started kissing her. I knew she loved me and would give in eventually, even if I had to force her. I continued kissing her and she tried to pull away as I slid my hand up her shirt and unbuckled her bra. I released her from the kiss, "Luke, what are you doing. Get off me!" She shrieked. "Why? Your parents are home, Or should I call Jake for you?" I asked sarcastically and started tugging on her shirt and tried kissing her some more while holding her down, she began fitting back when I held her arms. "Your not leaving." I said aggressively. "Luke, stop." She pleaded. I remember leaving marks on her that day, she was bare naked in her bed as she covered herself in her sheets and breathed heavily. "You cheated on me." I said softly, "I fucking loved you, Avery!" I shrieked. "If you loved me, you would have none I never cheated on you." She replied but I didn't believe her. "Get out." She said softly as a tear fell from her eye as she looked at me. "I think we should break up." She added as I looked at her. "Well, I couldn't agree more." I said getting up and placed my shirt on and grabbed my jacket and school bag and went down the stairs and slammed the door. "Hey Luke." Mrs. Samuels said as I said "Hi." And walked alway furiously.

"Mr. Daniels, would you like to return back to earth and answer the question I asked, please." Our French teacher said as Avery looked back at me. "Je suis désolé" I said while looking at Avery. "And that means what?" He asked. I kept on looking at Avery who was observing what I was saying, "I'm sorry." I replied.
