Hopefully, I can post the trailer to "The Game" after I finish writing. Can't believe I started book to while school was going on all the way to the end of summer. :'(( the tears are real. Lol, so here's Chapter 24.

Avery
"I can't believe you came back just to talk to me about that." I said walking beside Jesse furiously. "Well I'm sorry I'm here to babysit, I'm actually here to help you." He replied back. "You were helping by staying away." I snapped. "Really, was I?" He said stopping at the burial ground and looked at me. I had my mother on my left and my father's arms around her with Jesse by my side and Luke across from us. Slowly we watched Jeremy being placed in the ground and for once I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. "It's sad to see one go." A voice said behind me. I slowly shifted my eyes and turned my head to see the Sonclare's behind me. "Avery." Mr. Sonclare said as Jesse stared at me. "Mr. Sonclare, nice to see you." I replied softly. "What are you doing here?" My father said pushing me aside. "For the funeral, Ian. I'm sorry for your lost, I was just telling Avery-", "You don't tell my daughter anything." He said firmly. "Dad." I said softly. "-Not here." I added. "We'll talk after." He said with a smile and walked off with his wife. "Now I see where Skylar got her cunningness from." I muttered. "Took you years to realize?" Jesse asked sarastically. "Okay, enough of this we need to talk." Jesse added. "Now?-", "Yes, now." He replied pulling me aside and away from everyone else. "Okay, talk." I said crossing my arms. "You need to join that game." He responded. "What?" I shrieked. "Shut up. There's three people here who are against that. Luke and the Sonclare's." He added. "Jesse, I'm not joining that game. I can't-", "You have to. I'm sorry if there was any other way you know I would get you out of this but, not this time." He added. I sighed and moved a piece of hair from my face and looked back at everyone. "I, I don't know." I replied. "Say you'll think about it, seriously Avery. Say you'll-", "I'll think about it Jesse, okay. I promise." I replied. "Good." He replied as he looked at me and I quickly looked away. "Since that's the only reason you came, you can leave now. I'm going to spend a weekend with my grandmother anyway, maybe that'll give me time to think." I replied. "Maybe, you should." He added with a slight grin. I grinned back, "Keep in touch, red." He added and walked away.

Luke
"What did he tell you?" I said walking faster to catch up to Avery. "Nothing important, Luke." She replied picking up her paste. "He had to tell you something." I added as I grabbed her wrist, "Let go." She demanded. "No." She shrieked when her father came up to us. "Luke-", "Mr. Samuels, I was just leaving." I said, "Thats great, do that." He replied. I nodded my head and walked past Avery, "This isn't the end." I whispered and walked away.

Ian
"What did he just say to you?" I asked curiously. "Nothing, it's nothing." She replied. "Avery-", "No, dad. It's nothing, he's just trying to get back together with me and I keep blowing him off." She added. "Is he giving you any problems?" I added. "No, let's just leave okay? I have to pack my clothes for tomorrow." She replied. "I think it's nice your staying with your grandmother for the weekend." I said as we walked off catching up to Marcia who was talking among others. "You ready to go?" I said coming up from behind her. "Yeah, let's go. We'll talk soon, Helena." She responded and walked off with Avery and I. "Would anyone like to tell me how the Sonclare's came today?" Marcia asked as she continued walking. "That's the same question I asked myself." I replied. "Ya know ever since Skylar died, they've become distant towards us. Why's that?" Marcia asked as I glared over at Avery. I sighed, "Honestly, I don't know." I replied and unlocked the car door. "As soon as you get in the house Avery, go pack." Marcia said as she took a seat in the passenger seat. "What? I thought I was leaving Friday afternoon?" She responded confusingly. "Your grandmother called earlier, she said to come Tuesday, she's gonna be busy over the weekend." Marcia replied. "That's not a problem, right?" She added. "No." Avery replied as she closed her door and sat back in her seat with her seat belt on.

Skylar
"Consider it done." Jesse said walking into the room. "Perfect. Thanks for your help, Jesse." I replied. "Anytime. Just be careful, alright Sky, we don't need anyone else getting hurt." Jesse added. "Whoever got hurt, deserved it." I added. "So your saying your father deserved it?", "What? No, I know where my father is. He's with my mother." I replied. "Wait, you don't know?" Jesse asked as I shooked my head. "Um, Sky. I don't know how to tell you this-", "Just say it. Why did you say "your father." I asked firmly. "Jeremy is your birth father. Your mother and him had an affair, but when he found out she was pregnant, he took off and left both of you, leaving you with Mr. Sonclare as your father." Jesse replied. "I don't believe you" I said softly. "Skylar, isn't it weird how whenever you were around Jeremy, he'd act awkward around you." He added. "He's a grown up, I figured that's why he acted like that." I replied. "So you never asked your mom about how you were born? She never dodged the question or nothing?" He added. I stayed silent, "She dodged the question." I replied softly. "I hardly knew him and I, I-", "You didn't know and all the bad things he's done, he deserved it." Jesse added. "That still doesn't help the fact that I never knew him. I never knew his favorite color, his tv show, I never got to call him daddy, or stand on top of his feet and dance around the living room. I never got to say goodbye. I never knew my own father because everyone kept this secret from me until now." I screamed as my eyes started to water because I was so frustrated. "I killed him." I choked as Jesse pulled me in for a hug. "Maybe the game isn't worth it anymore, Sky. It's not worth it." He whispered in my ear as I cried softly. "Everything's worth something." I added.

Ralph
"Alright, the doctor said you need some rest. It's best you stay here in the apartment for the week." I said opening the door as Jason helped Alex inside. "Thanks Ralph." Alex replied. "It's no problem really, my job is basically taking care of you boys." I replied. "Basically." Jason muttered sarcastically. "So how's Skylar?" I asked as I went to the fridge for a beer. "She's fine. Still causing trouble though." Jason replied. "And what about that other girl, what's her name again?", "You mean Avery?" Alex said taking a seat on the couch. "Yeah, her. How's things working out for the two of ya, Jason?" I asked as I took the beer cap off. "Things didn't work out. She practically hates me, and I prefer that then have her not safe." Jason replied. "She's not safe with or without. You might as well stayed with her." Alex muttered. "I could've if you haven't almost slept with her." Jason snapped. "Woah, woah, woah. Who almost slept with who?" I asked confusingly as I placed my beer on the countertop. "Let's just say Avery and I were about to make magic in the back of my car." Alex replied slightly with a grin. "Maybe you should go talk to her." I suggested. "Avery's not really one to talk." Jason added. "I agree, she just gets straight to business." Alex chuckled. "I swear to God, Alex if you ever touch her again or mention you touched her that gun shot won't heal so quickly." Jason snapped. "Woah, calm down. I'm just messing with ya, I guess you do have a soft side after all." Alex added. "I don't have a soft side." Jason replied. "Honestly you do, when your around her your a different person. You care, you protect, Jason you love her." I added as I looked at him. "Yeah, but she doesn't love me back and after everything I put her through and this whole thing with Skylar, she'll never feel the same way I feel about her again." Jason replied. "If one thing I taught the both of you, never say never. The odds are what you doubt can surprise you." I replied. "I hope so." Jason added.
