Chapter 15: Bad Boys Breaks Hearts

Alex

"That means I'd never hurt you." I said as she lifted her shirt over her head and placed it on herself. "God, I'm so stupid." She muttered. "What for having sex with me?" I asked, "No shit." She snapped and jumped out the car carrying her converse in her hand. "Avery." I said calling her back as she continued to walk. I hurried as I placed my shirt on and slipped into my shoes to catch up to her. "Av, wait up." I said, "Don't call me that." She snapped. "I'm sorry, okay?" I said softly. "No your not, so fuck off, okay?" She responded. "I'm guessing you hate me now, right?" I asked. "You guessed right." She snapped and began to walk quicker. "Where are you going?" I asked conceringly. "Away from you McCann's as possible." She said as she slipped into her converses. "At least let me tell you about Skylar." I added which seem to have caught her attention. "What about her?" She said as she turned around. "There's this game-" I said as I began to walk closer to her. "What game?" She asked. "I can't tell you about the game unless your willing to play-", "Are you willing to play?" I whispered softly. "Depends." She responded. "How do I know for sure this isn't a lie?" She asked. "The first rule of lying: it is better to tell a lie than to keep the truth a secret-"  

"The second rule of lying: choose the right lie to tell." I answered. "It's all apart of the game Avery." I added. "If that's part of your lie, then it's not working." She responded as she turned back around and continued walking. "It's getting late, at least let me give you a ride somewhere." I asked conceringly. "I rather not." She snapped as she kept walking farther. "Going back to Vegas isn't going to solve anything between you and Jason." I replied. "What makes you think I want to solve things with Jason?" She asked as I followed her. "Well, the fact that you thought I was Jason and about to have sex with me-", "That's because-", "Because what?" I asked as she turned around. "Y-You wouldn't understand." She replied and walked off.

Jason

"Crap, she's not answering." I muttered. "Who was with her?" Ralph asked as he took a seat next to me. "I'm not sure, the voice was deep and raspy." I replied, "Do ya think Alex, probably got to her?" Ralph questioned, "I don't wanna think about that.", "He's your brother, Jason you can't-", "I know, I'll deal with it." I snapped. "When, the next time he hurts someone?" Ralph asked. "I don't go looking for trouble. Trouble usually finds me." I replied.

"Jason." She said.  

"Yeah?" I responded. 

"You know, I wish I could be with you." She replied.  

"So why don't you?" I asked.  

"I can't, I'm with Alex. You know how he gets." She answered.  

"You gotta tell him sooner or later-"  

"I chose sooner." A voice said as we turned back.  

"Alex." She said softly and hopped off the hood of my car.  

"Your fucking sick, ya know that Jason." He said furiously as he pushed me. I fell to the ground as I tried to get up, but I was being punched by no other than Alex. "Jason." She shrieked. "Shut up, you fucking slut!" Alex snapped. "Jesse, do it." Alex demanded as he grabbed me by my shirt to look directly at Sarah. I knew what he was about to do and so did Sarah, but there was nothing we could do. I felt a bit light headed as my lip was bleeding. I tried my best to look at Sarah as I saw her mouth the words, 'I love you.' and heard a gun shot after. "Next time that bullet is meant for you." Alex said letting go of me and walked away.

"Jason, Jason." Ralph repeated. "Do you even care about Avery anymore? Your just sitting here, doing nothing." He replied. "What the fuck am I suppose to do?" I snapped, "I don't know, maybe go help her out." He replied. "Where were you when I needed your help?" I asked, "Doing time for Alex and your games." He replied and walked off. "I loved her." I added as he stopped walking, "I know you did, but who do you love more Jason? That's all I want to know." He replied and left.

Avery

I'm in the car. Driving back to Las Vegas as 'Skyfall' by Adele plays. I was tired of being lied to, being played with. My life was just starting to make sense again, but it's back to the start. All where it began, Skylar. Skylar, it seemed she was still alive after all of this. Even if Jason killed her, or tried to- no, she's dead. I wonder why Jeremy came back, it's not like him to have a change in heart all of a sudden. Surprised Jason hadn't called back after his brother tried to have sex with me. Guess I had to much hope. My phone began to buzz as I reached over to press the 'ANSWER' button. "Hello?" I answered. "Avery? Come home, now!" My father shrieked, "Hello, dad what's wrong?" I asked when he hung up as the red light switched to green as I stepped on the gas as I car tried to run me off the road as I turned the wheel trying to avoid hitting anyone when my phone buzzed.
