Jahaan and Tanya had now started to get closer to each other because they were working on a project together. Even though Jahaan used to behave very cold and distant in front of her, the truth was that he also used to care for Tanya a lot now. He just couldn't show it. Tanya also got immune to Jahaan 's behaviour. She knew that he had been like this and understood that he cares about everyone like this but pretends like he doesn't care.
There was only one person who was unhappy with the current situation and that was Reeva .
Although Jahaan showed no signs of interest in her, she felt that she was losing a battle from a small, middle-class girl.
Reeva's ego was very important to her and she could go to any extent to satisfy her ego.
Since the last few days, Jahaan used to come home with a big smile on her face and an uplifted mood. On seeing him happy, Mrs. Mehta was completely convinced that there could be no one better in his life than Tanya . She had never seen Jahaan so happy since childhood.
One day, Jahaan entered his house happily and started going straight towards his mother when Harshad Mehta , his father, arrived there shouting angrily and throwing some pictures on the ground.
"Do you go to college to do these rubbish stuff?" He roared.
Jahaan looked at the pictures lying on the ground and picked them up. He was surprised after seeing them as it was him and Tanya in those photographs. Someone had clicked them and sent it to his father. In most of the pictures, they were reading while sitting together but one of them was taken near Jahaan 's car in which he was hugging Tanya .
"Isn't this the same girl with whom your photos went viral in front of the entire college? You go to college everyday. Is she the reason behind that? You said that your exams are going on then what in the name of God is this? Who is this girl?' Mr. Mehta spat but this time, instead of listening to his father silently, Jahaan got angry too. He threw the photographs on the ground, turned around and started walking towards his room but suddenly, he stopped and turned to glare at his father.
"Don't interfere in my personal life", he gritted and left.
The exams finally got over and it was the day of Halloween but apart from the Halloween party, all the students had to come to the college so as to complete their project.
Jahaan spent the entire night just thinking about his father's words. He was so angry and upset that he couldn't even sleep. He knew that either Karan or Reeva were behind what happened but he didn't want to waste his time and energy on arguing or accusing them. He didn't want to go to college tomorrow but due to project work, he had to do so.
The next morning when Jahaan woke up, he was having a severe headache and left for college without having breakfast.
When Tanya arrived at the college, she was in a very happy mood and why not, it was her first Halloween in the college. She was scaring everyone from students to professors and even guards and was now waiting to do the same with Jahaan .
At the same time, Asher's car stopped in the parking lot and on seeing him, Illahi rushed towards Tanya to inform her. Tanya ran towards the parking lot with a fake butcher knife in her hand. As soon as Jahaan got down from his car, she appeared in front of him and tried to scare him by pointing that knife towards his face.
"Happy Halloween!" She exclaimed and started jumping like a child. Jahaan was already angry from the continuous headache and his father's statements, so instead of taking Tanya's actions in a light way, he lashed out on her.
"What is this behaviour, Tanya ? These are your manners! You are trying to scare anyone who comes in front of you, am I right?" Jahaan snapped.
The grin slipped from Tanya's face and she turned serious after sensing Asher's mood.
